Re: Win-A-Pint Bitter drop penny on ebay (Jamieson)
Spoke to my Dad (Ian Jamieson) about this "Win a Pint Bitter" machine and unfortunately he has no recollection of ever making a machine like this. Might be someone else’s diy machine?

Re: Jamiesons Skill Poker machine
My Grandad (Arthur Jamieson) would have been very impressed with your work - great to see you bringing one of his machines back from the dead - can’t wait to see the final results. So here's what I have so far with this machine. I have an "input board" with handles 9 inputs. The idea is to...

Re: Jamieson Mini Golf/Bowl/Match, Royal Flush, Bingo etc.
Cheers for the info - better understanding of the games workings now - the one I’ve seen has at least two plungers missing - but I can make them just like my Dad did back in the day in the Jamieson factory - not sure what else is broken / missing but it looks mainly complete - Just got to see how mu...

Great write up - some great info on spares - seen one recently but needs some work - is there a run down of what happens when a ball goes into each slot ??

Hi
Fantastic machine - looks great - all that fluorescent plastic reminds of my Grandad's factory and me "tidying" up all the bits I found lying around - great memories

Some excellent updates - I like the animated ones - the auto fruit video should help with the resto of my Lucky Throw

Glad to see the Jamieson collection still going strong

Re: Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64
I don't have any diagrams for these machines, but, unlike the earlier 'uniselector' types, you don't need a diagram unless the original wiring has been tampered with. The wiring on these is to a very high standard, and I'm convinced that either Arthur Jamieson or Mr. Binns had GPO experience. It wo...

Re: Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64
The variator motor turns at 5rpm. This is the left-hand motor in the inside photograph, the one between the odds adjuster and the main sequence controller. The speed of this variator will have no effect on the speed of the game. The right-hand motor controls the game length. It runs at 6rpm, and so...

Re: Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64
Sorry to hear you are struggling with the motor speed, when I found you the Lucky Throw machine I recommended a 12 rpm motor thinking it would be ok for the job, I think the original Crouzet motor would have been 10 rpm, so not a lot of speed difference ?? I think a 6 rpm would be too slow?? "...

Re: Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64
I am aware of alternative versions of these, and I also have 'Starlet', which I imagine is an earlier type, not having the variator fitted. I'll have a look at the variator motor on my 'Lucky Throw' when I get home tonight, and post the final RPM for you. There are two different cam profiles, one w...

Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64
I’ve recently had passed onto me some photo’s compiled by my grandfather the late Arthur Jamieson that I thought I’d like to share. These show some of the Jamieson machines in the “Autofruit” range Circa Sept 62 - Oct 64 in different guises. As some of you know, I have a “Luck Throw” version that I’...

Wow - that looks a bit of a mess - someone has bid on it now so must fancy a challenge resoring it - not sure it’s one for me - is this the typical resto condition/price as not come across one before?
Thanks for the link.

I've spoken to my dad - that's him in the photo wearing red jacket and cool beard - and I can confirm that unfortunately there are no manuals etc in the Jamieson family vaults!!

Re: Roto-Pool, Roto-Fruit, Rotolite, Electrodart, Bingola, etc.
I’ve read most of the posts on these machines and it brought back many memories. These machines were produced by my Grandfathers company - Jamieson Automatics and i spent many of my childhood days “playing” in the workshops and trying out my “fixing” skills !!! I would love to get one of these machi...
