Re: 1930s Genco Pinball

Hi Geofflove,
thanks for the info. Spurred on by this I have found suppliers in the UK. The problem is that I am only guessing at 1in diam. It would be good to know what diameter the originals were, and for this, and the other questions, I really need info from an owner.
Thanks again,
JPJim

Re: 1930's Genco Pinball

Hi Geofflove, I have tried these, and they are too big. I guessed 1in diameter from the hole size which is just over an inch. The balls are not metal, but look like snooker balls, only much smaller. I have tried "mini snooker balls", but these are 1.5in. and are way too big. Thanks for the...

1930s Genco Pinball

Hi Folks, I am finally starting the restoration/resurrection of my 1935 Genco Spit Fire. Apart from the generally poor condition, there are two obvious things missing… 1. The Balls. Does anyone know what size these should be? It looks as if 1in diameter (25mm for you youngsters) would fit, but does ...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic Take Ten

Hi Folks, despite my previous statement involving Tanners and Bobs I think Aristomatic may be correct. Today I worked the ratchet mechanism by hand and I can confirm that once set there appears to be 10 clicks before it reverts to normal play. I have obviously not checked this with a fully functioni...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic Take Ten

Well folks, I think both reasons are plausible but I will resolve the discussion when I have restored this machine and this feature is working...... this could take a while. I have read that this feature was less than reliable, and this is obviously the case here as it has been disabled, and the art...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic Take Ten

Many thanks to all you folks. Wow what a fast response. Absolutely Brilliant !! Yes this machine could be quite a challenge, I like a challenge..... The cabinet is very rusty at the base, holes and bits missing, stored on the damp cellar floor so no surprise there, but the rest of it is ok. The lock...

Aristocrat Olympic Take Ten

Hi Folks, I Recently acquired an Aristocrat Olympic Take Ten, 1966 and running on 6d's. It spent the last 35+ years in a damp cellar and was consigned to the skip in a big clear out. It was promptly rescued from the skip and opened to reveal innards that were in good working condition. That's the go...
