Re: Allwin project

Thanks for the information, guys. Now I know what shape to make the kicker cover. I did have another look at the extra holes on the back. From what I can see, all the holes that are being used and have the split pin in/through them, these are numbered lightly in pencil, so someone has had it apart b...

Sent over from south Australia but i think it's out of Luna Park in Sydney, I will be speaking to the fellow soon and should be able to confirm. most of it's there so it's worth saving, machine has an unusual des...

Re: Aristocrat Sheerline reels not aligned for payout

Any photos? I would line up the jackpot. Make sure it pays out the correct amount. Adjust the 2 reels that can be loosened and moved to the center of the glass (payout line), then move the 3rd reel strip artwork to suit so they all end up on the center of the payout line. Are the reels strips glued ...

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

New cash box made. Thanks for the plans guys. I used some scrap ply I had and, after many refits and adjustments, got it to fit perfect. Just need a lock fitted now and small cutout maybe, like the one in treefrog's cashbox. Must be for fingerholes, no laughing. :HaHa: I didn't make the very top sec...

Re: Aristocrat mystery circuit board burnt resistors

Thanks Gameswat. I Repaired the board, with what I think would be the correct value resistor, and new caps. But I haven't heard from the owner if it worked yet though. I just finished two bandits from the late '70s, both with hoppers, a Golden Goose and a Lady Luck. Both use similar boards thankfull...

Aristocrat mystery circuit board burnt resistors

Hi Guys, Long shot I know, but trying to find out the value of two resistors on an Aristocrat circuit board. At least two are badly burnt. I can't read them at all and I have no schematics to work from, so thought I'd try on here, in the hope someone can help identify them for me. I removed a second...

Re: Aristocrat Kingsway, Tic Tac Toe - or something else?

These few pics may be of help. I can get a few sizes if needed. On another game I fixed up recently I had to file out this square hole to make it bigger, so that it fitted a newer style lock that was slightly bigger. I removed the whole sliding mech, held it in a vice and I used a small square file ...

Re: The advent of motors in pinball

Speaking of early em pinball motors, a machine over here needs a new motor. The machine is a 1935 Bally Jumbo. image-8, jumbo.jpg image-4.jpg The coin payout motor is burnt out. Trying to help out an old repairer I know that has it in for repairs. I was looking for any tips for either re wiring it o...

Re: Aristocrat Kingsway, Tic Tac Toe - or something else?

This guy is over here in Australia. He has all these Aristocrat art works for sale. Don't think he has the correct one you need, but good site for reference. I will have to get his email details from another collector here, if you have problems getting hold of him. Good luck with the machine. http:/...

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

Thanks Treefrog , wish I was closer too , but your pic is good of the box , it's slightly different to the 'Bucket and Ball' cashbox that admin kindly sent pics through of , Yours has the top of the box covered over for about 2/3 of it's length with ply . I will use all the pics you guys have sent t...

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

Thank you Admin, that is brilliant. Didn't think the cashbox was that big, but it makes more sense now with the chamfered edge and the various slots inside the cab. Will knock one up in ply, and before gluing I will dry fit into the game, to make sure the door still closes and that it sends the coin...

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

Hit n Run back together working. Pays out up to 8 pennies if you load all 3 bases and make a home run. This game was missing the cash box and 1 or 2 coin chute parts. I made one coin chute plate to guide coins to the pay out tray. I made that out of thin stainless, after making up a template out of ...

Re: Fluorescent starters

Try F-20 starter 4-2 Watt 'HPM' brand or S-2. These mostly work well, but I have starters that refuse to work on Aristocrat Fluro's on 1970s era bandits.
Another one that works in my game: FE-T 4-22 Watt. That's an Aussie brand, also 'Clipsal'.
Good luck.

Re: Ball Past the Arrow hinges

https://www.baselinemarine.com/shopexd.asp?id=21885 found this link on here If your cabinet needs some repairs, I use match ends, wood glued into any flogged out screw holes. Insert them with glue till they have gone right in, then I lift them back a few mm's then trim with side cutters. Then glue i...

Re: Ball Past the Arrow hinges

Can you post a few photos?
Are the hinges loose because the screws are loose in the timber ?, or are the hinges knackered?
I am sure someone on here can tell you where you can get the correct hinges it needs , good luck

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

Coin parts are made, I put together the coin tube, which I will need to shorten and or modify slightly if the coins won't slip off into the cash box properly. I will see when the game is complete and operating. DSCF2234a.jpg My friend made up the Teflon housing and put together the 4 fancy spring lo...

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

Made the small ratchet part needed out of 3 Pinball target lifters, I used 3 to build up the thickness it needed. Only a bit of grinding and one small hold drilled to take the spring, it worked after 1 minor filing. DSCF2227a.jpg New cards and decals fitted. Thanks to a collector friend Adrian and h...

Oh I see, yes I could paint out the bottom part of the P and be left with a small capital D. I made a few Wonders coin slots a few years ago out of Prince August metal, I think I may still some somewhere. Hi Alan57, if you do find any would you be prepared to sell one? It will go to a good home. :D

Re: Wonders Hit-N-Run restore

The existing penny badge could be 'de-decimalized' quite easily, until the right one could be found. Was thinking of doing away with it altogether if I can get the cast one, but good idea about changing it back. I could get a decal made for the time being. wonder-pools-525x700.jpg DSCF2204a.jpg In ...
