Re: Burstow and Hewlett Sale

yes the Caille lone Star is a very rare and desirable machine. I am no expert but i know a few and there are only around a dozen of this model worldwide. The Mills version being far more plentiful. There is a lot of work required and its hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the numbers ...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

What a difference a day makes, Morphys were previously offering a $100 voucher per person if you attended the auction in person because most of the US collectors think Morphys made a big mistake relocating their coin-op out of Vegas anyway and attendance was way down, even before the current crisis...

Re: Mills Hi Top - Ebay

I emailed the seller and he is aware it should have the gold award token vender and associated linkage. He was very diplomatic and thanked me for my help.
He acknowledges that his asking price is very ambitious and knows the true value is around £600.
So there you go folks, make of it what you will!

Re: OK, let's talk RARE one arm bandits....

Not really, less were made than the Rol a Tops but Treasury still had a Seven year production run. The problem with Treasury is the castings have been reproduced and bolted onto blue seals which are much more plentiful. So the Treasury population has doubled and half of them are repro, which has hur...

Re: OK, let's talk RARE one arm bandits....

Three of mine. Let you decide if you think they qualify for rare, I will just say find me another! I would say I've never seen a FOK front casting like that, so let's say it is a rare revamp of a common machine, as is my Silver King which is a revamp of a common Jennings "Mints of Quality" goosenec...

Re: Bally "High Boy" Console on Ebay

Coppinpr, I would indeed play any of those if they were in the pub. I would be more concerned at stopping others from playing it and buying it for my collection (is that selfish?). This is an unusual 1947 Pace console that takes 5, 10 and 25 cent coins I just finished restoring that I think you migh...

coppinpr
I like this sort of thing but not at that price.
Are you aware that it's a replica cabinet?
"Slotwoodbutcher" also makes Jennings and Mills consoles and they are of very good quality.
You will need a second mortgage to buy some of his consoles. I would rather refinish the original ones!

Re: Mutoscope Electric Traveling Crane Motor

Does your motor look like this? A picture would be useful.
No point in rewinding a non original motor!

Re: Mutoscope Electric Traveling Crane Motor

There are lots of facebook groups around the world but mostly US and UK. Too many to list here! Sounds like you have the original motor if you have a working Gearbox? 100% keep it original would be my advice, take it to a motor rewinds shop and have it done properly. Will cost you around 100 bucks, ...
