Re: Duomat Knob Rotation
tree frog: I might have to take you up on the offer of a replacement part. Presumably the handle is still attached to the plate on the front of the machine (I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be!). Could you PM be a price including postage (presuming that you're willing to post it!)? Many thanks...

Re: Duomat Knob Rotation
Thank you for that. Believe it or not, after 25 years in my cellar, both wheels spin wonderfully well after a little lubrication!

Duomat Knob Rotation
I've nearly finished restoring the Duomat machine which has been sitting in my cellar for 25 years, and I have a question about the red knob. Mine is stuck. My question is this: Does the knob rotate on the metal spindle which passes through it, or is the turning point at the back of the spindle wher...

Duomat Glass Wanted

I think this is a long shot, but does anyone know where I can get a replacement glass for a Duomat machine (the one that's kinda based on roulette)?

Re: New Member in Somerset
Hi, thornebt
I live in Bath and have a collection of old penny slots, including half-a-dozen Beromats, which I have maintained for many years.
If you were willing to bring the machine to my house I will certainly have a look at it for you.
Send me a private message if you're interested.

K'Nex Clock Amusement Machine
https://youtu.be/gHzC9T_hsqM This is my second lockdown construction. I decided to set myself a challenge by attempting to make a Bryans Clock out of the construction toy K'Nex. Gosh, it must have taken over 200 hours all told! The differences are as follows: 1) It is somewhat larger and heavier tha...

Re: Another K'Nex 'Slot' Machine
I posted some constructions in this forum on 1st March 2019 ('Some K'Nex Slot Machines'). I have a large collection of old penny slots. I still have my binary calculating machine, Bonanza machine, Penny Pusher and my latest Ping Pong Ball fruit machine. Oh, and my grandfather clock. I only last week...

I started it in March and finished it last week. I had many problems to solve on the way, but I like to give my brain a good workout!

Another K'Nex 'Slot' Machine
Welcome to the K'Nex Bouncing-Ball Amusement Machine! Well, what else was I supposed to do during Lockdown? This machine is very loosely based on Bryan's Bullion. Whereas that machine has a spinning pointer, this machine has a bouncing ball, but the concept is the same. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/TqeJI...

Some K'Nex 'Slot' Machines
In 2010 I was at a car boot sale (here in the UK) when I spotted a box of interesting pieces which a boy was selling for £10. It was the construction toy K'Nex, which I'd never heard of. I did some Googling and found out all I could about it. It was apparently the second most popular construction to...

Re: Günter Wulff Astra - Insides
Ah ha! I've figured it out!
Each pulse pushes down the rod which turns the toothed wheel which is part of the randomiser - once every revolution it pushes two contacts together to extend the duration of the spin of the pointer.
I'll be making the missing bit today!

Re: Günter Wulff Astra - Insides
Hi slotsoffun! You have shown a picture of the inside of the Astra. At the top on the right is a solenoid which pulses at the same time as the dice dots are added up. There is a rod attached to this which is missing on my machine. Could you provide a close-up photo of this, together with an explanat...

German Astra Wall Machine Problem
Topic merged - Site Admin. I have a 1962 Astra wall machine (that's the one with the dice theme). It all works fine except for the following problem: Inside the machine, at the centre, near the bottom, there is a relay which, when on, activates all the lights. In my machine, the relay never comes o...
