Re: Bit of good news for once from ebay
The good news is that I avoided getting a Gaming Licence (£25) just to put the machine on E-place-thing. By chance a while talking to a customer in the shop and while cutting the key the conversation got round to collecting. I mentioned my Sega Imperial and he showed interest and expressed interest....

Re: The old Exploding Key trick!!
The product was red (Swan Vesta) match heads.
But please don't try this - it is dangerous and could cause injury.

Re: The old Exploding Key trick!!
I remember my dear old dad showing me the exploding key trick. Putting a common household product down the 'pipe' of a key and then inserting another common workshop item in the pipe. Hung with a piece of string, it was swung against the wall and - 'bang'! When he was a kid (he was born in 1901) it ...

Thanks for interest and for identifying my machine as a 'Saxony'.

It had come from Germany some years ago and the dealer told me that it was ex-NAFFI. It took pre-Euro 10 Pfennig pieces. The machine was opened (me semi-retired locksmith - so new keys...

Re: WD 40 Advert
Good advice – do not spray WD-40 on locks. So many of our customers come into the shop holding a faulty lock or euro-cylinder saying that they’ve sprayed it with the stuff and it still won’t work. !PUZZLED! The stuff isn’t a lubricant and will not magically repair worn lock components or compensate ...

Re: Hello from sunny West Sussex UK
Many thanks to all for the warm welcome. :D And no, it was not a dream - there was a pile of machines. Had I been a bit smarter, had the space and a bit more money …who knows? My ‘Allwin’? I’m not sure what model it is. It’s in exactly the same condition as when I bought it. The cardboard insert act...

Hello from sunny West Sussex UK
Hello all, I live in West Sussex UK. I’m a collector of many things, vintage guitars, old electrical and scientific instruments and have an interest in arcade and slot machines. I have repaired locks and made keys for a few collectors over the years. Back in the late 60’s the engineering company tha...
