Re: interesting photo from the 50's

What a great photo, I didn't realise the shortage of Hi Top hoods and back doors stretched as far back as the '50s. :HaHa:
I wondered if the name badge read "BREAN" possibly for Brean Sands?

Re: Hi Top Mechanism GA stamping

Thanks Treefrog.
There was a Lion Head I saw few weeks ago with 10 stop reels that had the same GA stamping on the base plate and mech.
But other than that I've not seen anything else.

Hi Top Mechanism GA stamping

Hi,

Recently purchased a Mills Hi Top 1d machine with 10 stop reels and the mechanism and base plate is stamped GA rather than MLB or SG which I have seen on my other mechs. Has anyone seen these markings before? I have included a few photo's.
Thanks

Re: Hello from Staffordshire

Someone posted a very similar machine a few weeks ago, which has the correct award, although the reel strips were wrong. You will correct parts like the Mills badge above window, reel arrow etc. I think the mechanism in your original machine is an earlier pre Bell O Matic type, probably swapped out...

Re: Hello from Staffordshire

Hi Treefrog, Many thanks for the reply and help. I didn't realise that some Hi - Top models came with token vendors as standard instead of the jackpot unit. I do remember this has a separate payout tube and pays a token for the gold award. There is a square piece of glass behind the jackpot window a...

Hello from Staffordshire

Hello, I have recently joined the forum and would like to say hello from Staffordshire to fellow forum members and kindly ask for a little advice on sourcing some parts for the Mills High Top that has been in my possession for nearly 30 years. It's probably not the finest example of a High Top but i...
