Bonnet for Mills Jewel hi top

Hi folks, The ongoing restoration of my Machines it’s going well. I have managed to locate replacement backdoors but I am still struggling to find a source for a hightop bonnet. Can anyone point me in the direction of either someone that manufactures them as replacement parts or a supplier/dealer of...

Re: Mills Hi Top Projects

I have learnt so much about these machines since purchasing them. Thank you to everyone on the forum for all of the help. Today I have been cleaning and removing one of the clocks. I think I’ve just about cracked it now. Managed to make three good machines from the five broken ones. Need lots of bit...

Cleaning old pennies

I have found that when playing these old machines hands can get very dirty very quickly handling the old coins. I guess the same muck is also being transferred into the machine and coin slides. I have found that by soaking the old pennies in cheap cola overnight followed by a quick rinse can transfo...

Re: Help... Mills reel strip and rebuild

I have followed the great post showing alignment which has been completed. The problem is that even with the reels aligned with payout holes, the brake cogs do not line up with the brake lever blocks. It’s almost impossible to get all the symbols to line up with the payout window and one brake block...

Re: help...mills reel strip and rebuild

Thanks for the link. I have had a look but I think I am in deeper than this. 🤦‍♂️

The brake cogs on each reel do not line up with the brake blocks. The cogs appear to have a slotted adjuster. They also have a pin on one side but it’s all a bit messy. I will post some pictures tomorrow.

Help... Mills reel strip and rebuild

Can anyone point me in the direction of either a video clip or further information on how to strip and rebuild the reel assembly for a Mills machine. I have attempted to fix one on a machine and cannot get everything to line up correctly. I have taken the reels apart and then reassembled. I understa...

Re: Replacement glass recommendations

Finally sorted the glass. I have two pages of laminated glass coming tomorrow. Total price £28. I will fit them and post pics once completed.😀 I have been looking forward to starting work on my Brenner ball past the arrow but without glass my balls drop out “oh matron!” :HaHa:

Re: Novomat on 3D

It is interesting I have noticed that Gunter Wulff machines seem to be attaining much higher prices recently and not just a one off auction bid war. Looking at the Elephant results there has been a growing upward price trend. A couple at a local auction to me recently got into the late 300s and the...

Re: Novomat on 3D

Many thanks, as always. I think you are right. I will list it for sale on here and see what happens. The machine is very clean inside and seems to work correctly from the tests I have made today.
