Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
Here are some pics of the control box for my Lucky Horseshoe. When I got it it was in a bad state, and the transformer had burnt out. I got someone to replace the old transformer, and make the rest of it safe. Now when a jackpot comes in (bars or melons) it pays out ten coins, then insert another co...

Re: Somewhat confusing Hi-top payout feature
It was my Lucky Horseshoe top flash that you made for me, and a very good job you made of it. Thank you. To trigger the jackpot on my one the bell fruit bars, or the melons must be on the win line. Then the light lights up in the jackpot window, it pays 10 coins out. Insert another coin pull the han...

Re: Machine ID unknown
The machine that treeefrog showed has the handle missing, so you can't move the bottom ledge. It would be impossible to get the ball into the winning cups. I was at the Eastbourne auction when it was sold. Also no keys, and I saw a lot of woodworm dust inside. Saying that I was interested, but it we...

Re: GM Laboratories soccer game.
Yes it looks to be the same machine, and it is in Hampshire. I like it and I'm sure I could do all the restoration myself. But the price is a bit over the top. £695 the seller wants for it. Following your link to the previous post about the machine it seems the seller paid £ 500 for it. That's a nic...

GM Laboratories soccer game.
Topic merged - Site Admin.
Has anyone got any info on this machine. It says on the playfield "GM Laboratories Inc", I believe it's from Chicago, but I could be wrong.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Mottos written in the reel strips.
Ive just picked up a Mills/Firman machine and on the reel strips it has a motto written on the fruits.
Can anyone give me any information about these.
Im guessing they are not original Mills strips, but I really dont know much about them.

Re: Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
The metal is not bronze, I tested it with a magnet, and the magnet stuck to the player. So it's either cast iron, or cast steel.

Re: Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
I was wondering if it was caused by steel balls sometime in the past. Man that would take a lot of smashing to cause that much damage. But when you think how many times it has been played over the years, I guess it could be possible. When I bought it it came with 5 brown, balls, made of some kind of...

Re: Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
Thanks for that BP, but they are way too heavy to be aluminium. I have had one of the men off of the table to see what they are made of. Would your idea work if the metal is steel?

Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
I bought a Rock-Ola Ice Hockey table a while ago, and I've only just got round to having a good look at it. The players had a short piece of rubber hosepipe on the end of their sticks. 2020-09-25-047a.jpg After taking off the hose I found the players sticks had been very crudely cut down. 2020-09-25...

Re: Samson Slick missing part ?
Thanks Jerry.
I thought it would be something like that, it shouldn't be too hard to make something suitable.
I love the machine, and I'm really happy with it, thanks mate.

Samson Slick missing part ?
Ive recently bought a Samson Slick, and the guy I bought it from said there is a missing part that he took off years ago. He said he put the part somewhere really safe but could never find it again. Can any of you guys help me out by posting any pics of the Slick lower solenoid area, as I can't tell...

Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
I timed how long, the shortest amount of time was around three seconds, and the longest was around 1 min 27 seconds. I almost emptied the coin tube after two goes on the highest amount of time. I have learnt so much from buying and tinkering with this machine, and I only bought it as I wanted the ba...

Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
I've cracked it, it lives again. After much messing and tinkering around it finally came to life when I poked a screw driver inside and triggered the bottom micro switch. It really started buzzing after triggering the switch. I jumped so much I almost fell off my chair. I had to bend the bracket so ...

Re: My first restoration project.
I still have the gallery surround, I may try using it as a template and try to make something that wont cover the writing, or maybe even trim a little off of the bottom of it. I will try a few things, and see what looks best. Thanks for you replies guys, every little helps.

Lucky Horseshoe, lights on but no bonus feature working.
Topic merged - Site Admin. I finally got the electrics for my Lucky Horseshoe sort of working, I think. The light comes on now in half of the jackpot window, like it should, and the bottom half is not lit, like it should be. It says on the top flash "when horseshoe is lit in jackpot glass maxi...
