Re: Jamieson’s Autofruit range 1962 - 64

Sorry to hear you are struggling with the motor speed, when I found you the Lucky Throw machine I recommended a 12 rpm motor thinking it would be ok for the job, I think the original Crouzet motor would have been 10 rpm, so not a lot of speed difference ?? I think a 6 rpm would be too slow?? "Crouze...

Re: Jamiesons Automatics Maxi dropcase machine in Norway

Sorry but i don’t have any contact details for The Binns family I tried to track them down a few years ago, but no luck. Trying to find some formica to match - any ideas?? Matching Formica can be a problem, sometimes you can find a piece of scrap furniture that you can retrieve some Formica from, c...

Re: Interesting Spot

So I have gotten to this spot. Everything works fine, just the back art is very cracked and sticking out and interferes with the ball. Now that I have gotten this far I now see I have to take EVERYTHING apart to get to the back image to replace it. I might be in over my head on this. I am not sure ...

Re: Jamiesons Automatics Maxi dropcase machine in Norway

I've spoken to my dad - that's him in the photo wearing red jacket and cool beard - and I can confirm that unfortunately there are no manuals etc in the Jamieson family vaults!! Just a thought?? Do you have any way of contacting Laurie Binns family, I know he had a lot to do with the design side, m...

Re: Limelite payout pintable

I know you were, which is what made me wonder if Limelite did the same. Rippy answered my question, but I still want to know where the money comes out. Both the Limelite & Koppo have a payout cup below the coin slide on the front of the machines, but I am sure that if you asked for either wit...

Were these machines at all popular in their time?
They were very popular at the time, with ww2 sweet rationing going on into the 1950s a packet of Polos was a big pull for your penny.

Re: Limelite payout pintable

This last post just jogged my memory :o I worked on some Koppo machines at the same time as the Limelite machines, sadly the only photo I could find was the Limelite's & Koppo's stacked in a pile ready to start work on them....

Re: Limelight pay-out pintable.

Good luck with finding a wiring diagram, I never could... You are correct in saying they were made by Shields of Brid. I worked on a couple a few years ago, and as far as I can remember they were run from a transformer, 6 volts for the lights and I think??? about 50 volts for the relays and selector...
