Re: Heading for the Slammer

You can do a penance by playing pinball on a computer simulator. It really is a good way to punish yourself and, as is often said, "The trouble with simulation is that it's like masturbation and, after a while, you begin to mistake it for the real thing."

Re: Springs and Sprungs.

I did search and it came up with drum brakes and shock absorbers. I think it's identifying RS as in Ford RS? You said made by RS, who are they? BP Old folks in the electrical trade, like me, remember RS as Radio Spares and that is just what they sold. They do much more now and have moved up market ...

After a bit of a search I found the blanks at Davenport Burgess . They are usually trade only but I phoned them and they were very helpful. Th...

Re: New Sega Copper resto help with payout

The paintwork looks pretty good and I would be tempted to simply retouch the missing paintwork. It would be a shame to repaint if it isn't necessary.

Re: Jubilee Riviera Arm Return

Many bandits use this type of piston to 'damp' the return spring. They usually consist of a cupped leather washer inside a tube but as the leather dries out, they become ineffective. Take the piston apart, give it a good clean internally and apply glycerine to the leather washer. Don't be tempted to...

Re: G'day Aussie newbie. Nutt and muddle model?

No experience of this machine either. The only advice I can give is to trace the voltages with a multimeter looking for blown fuses, shorts etc. BUT be very careful around mains voltages  Old electrolytic capacitors are the main culprits for failures, so check to see if any show signs of burn...
