Re: Handle hard to pull
Thanks for very clear answers.
However, I was probably a little unclear when I explained.
The handle is smooth, it's the mech that is harder than before to cycle.
Also, I've learned since joining this forum never to use grease. The only thing I use is 3-in-1 oil.

Handle hard to pull
I have a slightly odd (and possibly stupid) question. Over the last three years I have restored several old one-armed bandits (mostly Buckleys, Aristocrats and Ascots). However, I would like to add that I still see myself as an amateur and a beginner in the subject. I have dismantled all my machines...

Broken bottom slide
The bottom slide seems to be broken at the front.
Is that something affecting the function?

Re: Buckley kicker question
So if I bend the added kicker extension back in line with the kicker, that could solve the problem?

Buckley kicker question
Now I've disassembled the mechanics probably 10 times, but I still can't get the reels to spin as they should. Since the kicker was worn out, I (after this picture was taken) welded on some material and sanded the kicker, but with the same result. And now to my question. I know the kicker's function...

"Coin entry" for my Buckley
Hello again. I'm making another attempt to get a 25 cent "coin entry" (don't know the correct name in English) for my Buckley Criss Cross. At least that's what I think I'm looking for. The coins/tokens I use have a diameter of 23.4mm so I think a 5 or 10 cent coin entry will be too small. ...

Sheerline or Starlite?
Can anyone tell if this is a Sheerline or Starlite?
If you look at the front, it says Sheerline, but from the pictures I've seen online there are Starlites that looks about the same.
Anyone who knows?

Re: Bad chrome
The hole where I put the coin is has a diameter of about 23,5 mm.
Don't know if that is 5c, 10c or 25c?

Re: Bad chrome
Found this one on eBay in the US.
Problem is they do not ship to Sweden.
Guess I'll have to keep on searching here in Sweden or maybe the UK.

Re: Bad chrome
I used an angle grinder to sand off the rust and then a polishing wheel to get a good surface on the metal.
The result was OK, I think.
Now all that is missing is the front trim and the back door. Anyone know where I can find that?

Re: Buckley Criss Cross
It is a little difficult to measure the diameter of the coin entry, but it is a little bigger than the coin, approx. 23.5-24 mm.
The measurement of the back door is 36,5x47,5 cm.

Re: Buckley Criss Cross
Regarding the coin escalator it is working just fine. The problem is that this part (on the back of the coin entry) is real ugly and it seeems that someone on his own initiative has manipulated it. Thinking about if it's possible to replace just that particular part or whether the whole escalator ha...

Re: Buckley Criss Cross
No, I think that's all.
I'll check the diameter when I get home.
But it's the same coin as to my other Buckley.
The diameter of the tokens I'm using is 23,3 mm and the thickness 1,6 mm.

Re: Buckley Criss Cross
Hi Neil.
No, I managed to buy a Buckley Criss Cross of the exact same model but unrefurbished in slightly worse condition.
And some parts are missing on it. Unfortunately also the back door.
I read somewhere that the back door from some of Mills models would also fit Buckley. Could it be true?

Re: Buckley Criss Cross
I suspected it might be so.
But I thought I'd try here first because it's probably much lower shipping cost from the UK to Sweden than from the USA.
