Re: Coventry Spring Auction 22nd March 2020

For those who didn't receive the latest update from me, there's been a change in policy re. spares. Having had a couple of conversations with others, it's been agreed that we will include individual spares in the auction. So if you have any bandit, allwin, electrical spares that you wish to enter, p...

Re: Today's quiz "name that machine"

As no one has mentioned it yet, No. 1 is an Exhibit Supply Co. Imperial crane.
So what's the prize for getting machine No 2?

Edit: Just noticed No. 9 is an electric shock machine with a very attractive aluminium front - the subject of another thread on this forum.

Re: Coventry Spring Auction 22nd March 2020

For those who have not yet noticed, page three is now up online. There's some nice stuff, including a full set of Bryans 3 Ball allwins, all in superb condition. There's more entries coming in, so page 4 should be online in a couple of days or so - but it's coming in very slowly! So please, if you h...

Re: Coventry Spring Auction 22nd March 2020

Yes, page 3 is on the way. There's some nice stuff coming up, but a lot for which I don't have full descriptions or pictures at the moment - I'll hopefully be able to fill in the blanks in the next couple of days. So the catalogue's coming along, but I really do need some more entries before you all...

Re: Arcade Photographs

What's that wide vertical machine at the center of the photograph? It's a Cromptons drop-case wall machine. I recall there were four themes, all basically the same machine. That could be 'Sky Divers' but it's not really clear enough to tell. Also I'm confused by the sign that says Kit, Kat. 'dad' F...

Re: Coventry Spring Auction 22nd March 2020

There is now an entry form available to download from the website: http://www.vintageamusementsauctions.co.uk/ I shall be sending out an update to all those on the mailing list, hopefully sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, just a note for some of our regular vendors who contact me through my person...

Ah yes, I see now. I too have looked back at previous posts - forgot about the Erie digger thread (if anyone missed that, check it out - well worth a read). !THUMBS!

Re: Finally found a good source of chain

Curious to know what type/make of crane are you referring to? On my ESCo cranes, and indeed all those I have come across over many years, it is only the rise and fall of the jib that uses chain (the claw being operated by chord). As far as I can recall, it is always ladder chain, which is freely ava...

What's the action.... some kind of pusher?
I'd guess it's a similar game to Cromptons 'Cakewalk'.

Re: Jamiesons Skill Poker blown fuse

Runner, your fundamental problem here is that the machine shouldn't be blowing 5 amp fuses, certainly not slow-blow fuses. Yours is not a surge current issue - sounds like you have a short or at least a partial short somewhere in the circuitry. You say: it's as if there is too much power coming from...
