Re: Duo-Mat machine on 6 pence

Most of the German machines I have seen from this period, especially Duomats were on 10 pfennigs, not 1 pfennigs. The 10 pfennig is larger than a sixpence about 21.7mm and thicker. I remember Harold English when doing up his imported German machines would make them 20p machines as this was closed to...

Re: Sailor wineasy

There is one in the Wineasies list in the Arena, possibly posted by Bob. I am sure PM will confirm or one of our remaining Aussie colleagues, but one must assume Australian by source.

Looks cool, if slightly creepy. !!THUMBSX2!!

Re: Payout slides Removal and replacement

You have done half the job in getting access. Just unclip springs a treat and remove the slides. Take note of the order assuming they are correct and clean each slide. I use white spirits and wire wool. Clean all sides and springs, avoiding to damage or stretch springs. Also clean slide posts and ba...

I haven’t managed to find a clip, but another movie being shown on Talking Picture TV with a clip of an arcade is The Punch and Judy Man 1963 with Tony Hancock. The arcade shot I believe was in Bognor Regis with lots of interesting machines from wall machines to floor standers, some I did not recogn...

Re: Jennings Governer Jackpot Assembly

Slides stuck, maybe something jamming them, eg coin or foreign object either in slides or behind, inspect both underneath and take out coin tube to see top of slides. If not maybe the horizontal slides not moving back far enough to release slides, maybe poor spring on lower or upper fingers or somet...

Re: Jennings Witch and Black Cat

It's back in auction! :HaHa: Yes indeed, well I thought it had sold as I listened to the original auction live, which had active bids between at least two parties and reserve must have been met as they got to the starting estimate of £2500, as I believe they are not allowed to set reserves above es...

Re: Unusual UK conversion on a Jennings

The Jennings or should I say repro Jennings with Jubilee mech finished today at the Adams Partridge sale and made an incredible £1240  I am sure when sold by the company who made them, they sold them for less than that....
