Yes thought that! It must be worth more than £550 though, surely?

Re: Gumball and collector's card vendor 1D

Thanks PM, Yes that machine is identical, unlike the Premiere one. I have just started stripping it and on the back of the display cards there is also that maker's name "Amcomatic" (dated 1958) but also "Universal Automatics Ltd" but I guess that could have just been who supplied the cards maybe? Lo...

Re: Gumball and collector's card vendor 1D

Thanks, yes I saw those types for sale but think they are USA ones. Mine seems like it might be British-made maybe. The 1D coin mech looks original and the display cards both have UK writing on the backs.

Gumball and collector's card vendor 1D

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. Hi, Just picked up this from my local Antiques and Collector's Market. Can anyone shed any light on it? It has no maker's name and runs on old penny 1D. Thinking 1950s maybe? Has a clever mech that vends a gumball and a card that alternates from left to right hopp...

Re: Bryan's Clock Stripdown.

Ok thanks, I read through Melvyn's site and he dated to the 1988 number stamped on it but i was also told that the number was a serial number and not a date and Bryans would rework old machines to take decimal coinage so am still confused over its age. Melvyn also said they made the clock into the 9...

Re: Bryan's Clock Stripdown.

It's back together!. Went for a mid oak wood stain (satin) in the end. New instruction card and all castings polished etc. Love this machine and appreciate the way it was designed and built. Now looking for a Bryan's Elevenses or Fill Em Up/Whats My Line type machine. Any more info on dating it - wo...

Instruction card was a success but clock face is larger than A4. Anyone managed to print one off before?

Re: Bryans 12 Win & 6 Win Clock faces & instructions

Done it, thanks! Like you say open in another window/tab and print from there. Great results!
Anyone got any more info on dating this machine etc?
TIA
