From the picture, it would seem that only one slide is still in use, with the multiple-payouts disconnected. Are the other slides still there? They may have had the operating lugs cut off. Parvalux motors are excellent, and usually come with reduction drive attached. They ARE available for AC/DC, suitable for use with a rheostat; you can tell by the serial number. eBay usually lists a few. The Parvalux web-site will give you the required information.
