Re: Ball catching games

Slick is amazing but alas I doubt I'll ever have a chance to purchase one.

I do think Retreeva is a better game for having at home than Payramid.

Re: Ball catching games

Unsure what the standard width is. Is there any advertising copy we can check?
I've seen Retreeva photos that look wide like the video, and just the width of two pins.

Re: Ball catching games

OK, all other aspects aside, which catcher game do you find the most FUN to play. I like the Payramind and Retreeva-style ones well enough, but I think I enjoy playing the "American style" kicker-catcher ones even more. There's something about the "illusion of control" when you'r...

Re: EH / Collector Connector sales

Just to add to this topic I did make quite a few "absentee" bids when the Elephant House was operating and always bid the highest I was prepared to pay. In all but one of those bids, if I won the item it was at a lower amount than my ceiling so that, to me, was a fair battle just as if I ...

Very cool! Two questions: can we see the machines on the left side? What tunes you playing on the speakers? :)

Re: Very old amusement arcade

What would they cost to operate, and can someone put that in perspective to today's costs? Like what would be the outlay for someone going up there and putting a coin in all 7 of them?

Re: I'd like to know a little bit more about these two machines

First, congrats on the pictures! I can't wait for the new site section to be revealed.

Any idea what the gameplay of Swing It is? Does the wheel tilt the playfield left and right?

Re: Recent finds

Cool machines! I love Super Challenger, even if it's common.
What's the pusher? (I'm looking for a Mini Cascade)

also like how the mirrors compress your reflected allwins. :)
I'm pretty sure anything vintage carnival is collectible. What does the 2nd mirror say at the top?

Thank you for sharing the pictures. I love seeing how people hold all their machines in their homes (well, and sometimes outside their home...)

Re: Electro-mechanical Wall Machines

It has been posted on this thread twice before, but I wonder if the latest interest may relate to the ludicrous offer someone has made for one £1250 on the new Elephant site :HaHa: If it were genuine and I owned one, I would be throwing it in the back of my car for a trip to Cambridge  We all...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

I think your missing the point, the big advantage of this service is that you can buy and sell unlimited amount of machines with no commission and no commitment to pay £10 every month..........so in theory you could sell 10 machines for good money controlled by your acceptance of offers and get the...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

The idea is to drive interest from potential sellers what someone might pay, so not a proper wanted add as such....... From what I can tell the overall feedback has been positive on the new system and a lot of people are pushing items for sale. Will be interesting to see if wanted requests drive pe...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

You don’t have to spend £120, you can subscribe for one month, the only problem is, if someone is interested to sell, they do not deal with you direct and submit for sale in the auction for all to blind bid against. Not a problem if you're bidding loads of course. Wait wait, I guess I misunderstood...
