Re: Electro Playball

If you look closely at picture 4 on the ebay listing, you can see that two steel pins have been added to the backflash area at the top, probably to decrease the chances of winning. Will there be someone out there who really wants this? We will see.

Re: Who remembers this amazing dice gambling machine?

Hi Potless, It was A NICE try by Pennymachines, but the machine we remember was nothing like that. The plastic dice were much LARGER than a standard dice; the egg timer shaped cage would tip up, dropping the 2 dice to the base, revealing the winning combination. I spent many hours watching and playi...

Re: Torpedo Shoot

These are the original ships that ran along the 'periscope machine attached to a bicycle chain' and were in that machine in the 1960s.

Re: Who remembers this amazing dice gambling machine?

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I also saw this machine in Great Yarmouth in 1969. A fascinating machine, and to be honest, unless you actually saw it, then it's really hard to imagine what this machine looked like. As to the payouts (which you described well) , around the same time STREE...

Re: Slot-Car game wanted (Whittaker/Cromptons)

I remember these machines very well in the 1960s!! You are spot on with the names. I remember a GRAND PRIX and ALSO a LE MANS... Pretty sure that Whittikers made them. On the Grand Prix, the RED car paid 2d, the BLUE car paid 2d, the GREEN car paid 4d, the YELLOW car paid 6d, and the WHITE car paid ...

Re: Wonders Win & Place

Re. the Win and Place - looking at the cups, I don't think the left cup says 2nd Place, or the fourth cup says 3rd Place. Also, the two END cups were not BLUE, or the fourth cup ORANGE... So looks like the odd job man has been busy!!!

Re: Torpedo shoot

There was a Torpedo Shoot game in the same arcade as Top Gun Marshall, but your version is not the one. The one I remember in the 1960s was much larger and had ships going along the back on a chain-type motor. A RED light would run up the machine as though the Torpedo had been fired, then you either...

Re: Top Gun Marshall

Hi Stoxman, If you look on this picture (which also appeared in April MMM), you can CLEARLY see the AERIAL GUNNER in the arcade that you knew ( Marine Pastimes ). If you CLICK on the picture itself and scroll right and left.... this brings Aerial Gunner up a lot closer. Hope that you enjoy actually ...
