Re: Hello from sunny West Sussex UK

Welcome! Used to hang out in Worthing every Saturday as both my nans lived there and spent most of life on the pier playing the slots. Excellent Toby Carvery in Goring Road, was there Saturday. I'm just up the coast in Felpham nr Bognor Regis. I had a Sega Continental and the heaviest damn machine I...

Re: Unusual Aristocrat Olympic four reeler

The Grosvenor would have been a hand pay for jackpots with the 23 win paid by the stack. So coin slide stack not much higher than a regular 18 pay stack. So, yes, although it looks odd that the reel bundle has been pushed into an Olympic case the principle of play in an operator's venue would still ...

Be influenced by what moves you - if you want a light get one. A small battery LED light with sticky pads and hide away inside over reels, they last for ages on batteries. I've got a Jubilee mk1, and no, they didn't come with lights, but I don't care as it's flipping mine and I installed an old pygm...

Re: Sega Progressive Star coin meter

There has to be a way to reset that. So, if by chance it hit 9999 and jackpot happens that is 2 and a half quid plus 249 quid old money hand pay, a small fortune in the day. No doubt the owners would regularly nobble this cause quite a risky payout for them. Also having a guess, i think this machine...

Re: Bingolette and Duomat

I have a Rialto; pretty much the same as a Bingolette. It's a fantastic fun machine to play. One of the late Harold English's machines, so carefully looked after and made good. It's a 10 German pfennig play, which is great as 20p coins work perfect. Out of all my machines it's the one that visitors ...

Re: BRENCO Wheel of Fortune

And here's one workin:

Note the predictability of the game-play. At my local arcade in the 70s the Wheel of Fortune always stopped on 6d after lose, so constantly milked it.

And don't forget the amazing cleaning power of good old ladies hairspray too! God knows what it does to their hair. I've used it so far for ink pen leaking in daughter's pocket all over her i-phone. Lifted ink off instantly with one spray and wipe. Ink on my wife's coat, lifted ink of the fabric lea...

Re: Unusual Jubilee Riviera artwork

I'm guessing that the woman could have been a famous character in the poker world at the time and frequented the casino? So a custom glass maybe???
