The Who frontman had known fair owner John Carter for more than 20 years and shared his enthusiasm for old fairground items. Roger said he used to collect roundabouts which he ...

Re: The Forum's yearly check up
Yes, I remember our discussion . Let me describe what I think it might look like, and you can tell me if I'm off base. There would be a form with fields for Machine name, Maker (if known), Serial number (if present), Description or Comments (optional) and Image (optional). Anything else? The list co...

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to replicate this on an iMac/Safari (or Chrome, Firefox) browser. I've made some changes anyway, but suspect to no avail.

Re: AMECO Step Up To Mike/Fono Post identified
The sliding door on the one above has come off its tracks. Too many kids inside? The Fono Post in the Malta museum is well preserved, documented and photographed. This voice recording machine was previously owned by Carabott of Merchants Street, Valletta. It dates back to the 1920s and used to be ou...

Three of them squeezed in and on my grandad's shoulder was the booth's entrance curtain clearly visible. So from this I can...
