Re: Clown Catcher payout conversion

... Also any thoughts as to age and maker? I can find no markings at all, except for a few barely-legible letters and numbers stamped into the inside back of the case, and RH272 on one of the levers. Any information would be greatly received! I think it is a lovely machine and it definitely will no...

Re: My new old Allwin

Hi =) "Jentzsch & Meerz" produced a lot of Allwin machines with reserve in the late 1920s and the early 1930s. Due to strict gambling laws the machines were forbidden in Germany. The only version produced for the German market was the "Elektro": el_1.jpg el_2a.jpg See more pi...

Then it would be ideal for doing "lost wax casting".
There are some filaments (Polymaker PolyCast) and resins (PowerCast) for printing wax models with 3D printers.

Re: 3D-printed slot machine miniatures

If the 3D-Model can be created using simple geometric shapes, then rebuilding is much easier than 3D scanning. With 3D scanning, you usually have to invest a lot of time in cleaning and reworking the scanned 3D-mesh. This is only worthwhile with very complex structures. I build each model in 3D Max ...

Re: 3D-printed slot machine miniatures

I use the water washable photopolymer resin That's also the resin I'm working with. I like the easy handling and cleaning and it doesn't stink quite as badly as the normal one. Sometimes I have problems with printing objects with flat surfaces. The lower surfaces are sometimes printed a little dist...

Re: 3D-printed slot machine miniatures

If you're using online-services as described above, you don't have to print the wax-model or mould by yourself. You simply upload the 3D-model in a certain file format (depends on the company). They'll do the rest (printing the wax-model, creating the casting-mould, cast in brass (or whatever you ne...

Re: 3D-printed slot machine miniatures

SLA-3D-printers are not expensive. The Elegoo Mars Pro is available for around $250. I needed the printer for a (missing) payout-cup. On an old german machine the payout-cup was missing, but some traces were still there: Schale_0.jpg Of course the first step is to create the 3D-model. There are a lo...

3D-printed slot machine miniatures

Hello =) To test my new 3D printer, I tried miniaturizing german slot machines. My first projects are the "Hansa II" (1907) and the "Bajazzo SG" (Jentzsch & Meerz, 1927). After printing the models I painted them with acrylic colors: Mini_Hansa_4.jpg Bajazzo_Anzeige_Vergleich....

Re: Harper’s Volta? Electric shock

OK Gameswat, so it seems more likely it's British. Unfortunately Nic doesn't state where his image of the Electric Volta was from, so we can only guess that the original source included the D. Harper & Co. attribution. Paul Braithwaite cites this page of Nic's book as his source. I assume Paul ...

Re: Atlantic Flyer identified & unknown machine

Just wondering why the Bajazzo [Clown] machines were banned yet the Atlantic machines were not banned when they are not too dissimilar? :!?!: The Bajazzo was banned in the late 1920s in most districts, because it was declared by a lot of legal experts as a gambling machine. The bajazzo/clown was pr...

Re: Atlantic Flyer identified & unknown machine

Hey. There were a lot of different Atlantic-machines on the market around 1928-1930. This was mainly the case because the Bajazzo (Clown) was banned by legal authorities. A lot of manufacturers developed modifications for existing Bajazzo-machines. This was a lucrative business, because there were t...

Re: The Whirlygig fortune teller

Hello. At first I want to say that your Whirlygig looks fantastic. Good job on that !!THUMBSX2!! I was very excited to see the "Made in Saxony" mark on the "playfield". I did a lot of research regarding „Max Jentzsch & Meerz" for my website and I also came across this ma...

Re: Allwin 5 Win

There is "W.B." stamped on the backside of the coin-slot: coinslot.jpg There is also a stamping on the back of the payout-cup, but it's not readable. Maybe it's an early William Bryan machine? As far as I know, Jentzsch & Meerz was the only maker of Allwins in Germany. Recently I was a...

Re: Allwin 5 win

Thanks for the welcome !!CHEERS!!
Both numbers can be found several times inside the machine and on the payout-cup:

Maybe it's an imported allwin and the first number is a serial-number from the manufacturer and the second one from the importer?
Cheers,
Joerg

Re: Allwin 5 win

Hello. My name is Joerg and I live in Germany. Glad I found this forum. Those numbers can a...
