Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

After having had my listing pulled twice yesterday and again overnight
Aah, I remember the days when I used to get pulled twice and again overnight, but I never called it "my listing".

Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

Thank you for that coppinpr, very clear to me now. I had no idea the world of machine auctions was as complex as getting your wife to take your speeding points.

Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

I'm afraid there seems to be no logic or consistency to the ebay police. I've had and seen stuff go the full distance with no permit and no subterfuge on description and then there is stuff that you really need to read between the lines to establish they are selling a full machine and it gets pulled...

Re: Computer illiterate

As a relative newbie, I hadn't actually found this "view new posts" link and was just trawling through topics looking for latest dates in r/h column. The 11 is actually like the pause button on a media player and if you look at the l/h buttons on subjects you haven't looked at they will di...

Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

I'm assuming "D Burke" in the Gambling Commission is not a deliberate pun to avoid identifying themselves. Can I draw on your collective wisdom for this: If I sell a machine through somewhere like Elephant House, do I need a permit? If I sell a machine through pennymachines.co.uk, do I nee...

Re: Blackpool slot museum

The pinball guy is called Steve and is an avid collector, mainly of pinballs, and this was orginally to be the mainstay of his proposed museum. He had a stroke around Christmas time and although he is OK, I doubt his ambition will ever move forward, and whoever did it, even with a cheap property, it...

Re: Shipping costs from the U.K. to the U.S.A.

yes! all of the above will apply! Had a roulette delivered and the glass cracked in two places obviously from being dropped on the corner. Sent a wooden vending machine to US a couple of months ago and it was around £80 with insurance up to £500 but some of them will not carry items with any glass s...

Re: eBay listing removed

I had one of mine removed this week and protested that it is not covered by the Gambling Commission's definition of a gaming machine (incidentally, this definition only mentions machines which accept coins from 5p up). Anyway, the text of their reply is: We have received an update currently to disal...
