Re: Challenging Bradley Challenger

Pennymachines, that is an excellent explanation. I didn’t realise how the “winning” column was chosen until now. Looking forward to getting back on the job and getting it sorted again. Thanks

I’m puzzled by this picture as I thought that the arm B would be above arm A thus making it swivel when the arm is pushed down,

Re: Challenging Bradley Challenger

Thanks for your help. I don’t suppose you could take a photo of the lever in its lowest position showing the connection with the cams?
Thanks

Bradley Challenger

Post moved & merged- Site Admin. Hi everyone. I am now in possession of a lovely old oak cased Bradley Challenger. I’ve dismantled the chutes (possibly a mistake but hey ho) and now trying to figure out the best way to align the pivot shaft with each chute. Does anyone have any hints that may h...

Now I’m very tempted. Is that where you bought it?

brigham wrote: Mon Mar 21, 2022 5:54 pm I'm not sure how it can have the same machine on all four sides, when it has two different ones on the sides we can see.
I hadn’t noticed, but all 4 sides were ‘similar’.

If anyone is interested it’s in an arcade at Cleethorpes!

Re: Allwin Deluxe backflash

Some people like what is generally called ‘patina’. Unfortunately I’m not one of them. You wouldn’t keep an old car in a worn and scratched condition or call it patina and I don’t see the difference. If I can restore a machine to a condition it might have been in when it was new then that’s my prefe...

This is a closer look at the wear in the backflash, my choice is to replace it.

Re: Spicers slot auction 25 Feb 22

I just noticed the Bell Cascades at £650 and £700. A complete machine in good condition is no more than £500. Both were missing parts and that was only what we could see from the front, wonder what was missing in the rear. Unfortunately auctioneers who can’t describe them accurately enough taking ad...

Re: Restoration of Mills high top, and Mills Jewel bell.

Hi, Well 9 years later and I now own both of these machines, apparently taken to Oz and then brought all the way back and ended up local in Lincoln ! I'm after some help with the Jackpot on the Hi-Top. The window has a metal spacer ( shown in photo) but this allows both the jackpot and the reserve t...

Re: Bell Fruit Cascade

There are two mistakes everyone makes when working on a Cascade. First they take out the glass and all the parts "cascade" onto the floor, second when they put it back together they put the top arm of the bonus retainer in the wrong way round (you will find the bracket is not square at th...

Re: Bell Fruit Cascade

Well finally got round to getting it working and it is soooo addictive, spent hours on it in the last couple of days. I have one issue though, the bonus chute seems to ‘give way’ after no more than 3 coins are in it. I’m guessing it’s either too sensitive or something is wrong with the alignment. Ha...
