Looking at the ironmongery again on the Shefras allwin, it does bear more than a passing resemblance to the ironmongery on this Oliver Whales Jet Play.

Yes, Wonders style case with Parkers style winning knob and traditional Saxony style hammer lever, although Parkers also used the traditional Saxony style lever design on a lot of their allwins.

Saw this recently. It caught my eye for a couple of reasons: firstly the backflash is of an identical design to that of their Double Diamond allwin (see third photo) although using a different colour scheme and secondly, this is only the third cup allwin I have seen from Shefras, the two others bei...

Yes, it should be rotating freely on the metal shaft.

For a run-of-the-mill Allwin, anything from £500 upwards in good working order but as brigham says, prices vary so much, depending upon what you are buying, condition of machine, maker, rarity etc, some can fetch £2k to £3k

Not aware of 2d coins Geoff, there was a 2d coin produced in the reign of George III (commonly called a cartwheel because it was so thick and heavy) but this was only for one year in 1797. According to the Spink catalogue they can fetch a tidy sum today: more than enough to buy two or three Bryan's...
