Re: Rotamint Duett

Cheers guys. Well it did nothing when I picked it up and after a few repairs to the relay and motor and a bit of tinkering it's now running - just not sure if quite correctly !PUZZLED! so just wanted to know what all the cams etc. did. !OMFG! I've watched a Rotamint Gold on youtube and it basically ...

Re: re chrome or paint

Cheers BP well I'd like to be a perfectionist but I can't afford it :D well I presumed it was chrome and just want to make it look good, most of it should polish up ok though there will be scratches and blemishes as it's quite corroded but some bits are quite rusty so I'll have to try painting then ...

Re-chrome or paint?

Just wondered what the general consensus was here. Now I've got my machines running, it's time to tart them up and, as they have lots of chrome, I just wondered if I should get the bits re chromed (how much does it cost? !PUZZLED! ) or paint them, as I've seen some "brilliant metallic silver&qu...

Re: Bally Electro Mechanical owners

Golden Girl is a UK revamp and if it is anything like the ones I've had, the electrics are a little odd to say the least. The good old hopper has probably been dumped and replaced with a solenoid payout. The mechs pretty much swap about, so yours probably was too much trouble to fix, so the operato...

Re: Bally Electro Mechanical owners

Well I think I now fall into this category  Just thought I'd add my latest purchase and well it's rather different to all my others SkEpTiCaL and caused some grief during the purchase but luckily apart from some of the chrome being a bit rough it all seems to work. :D Well, apart from one of th...

Re: Aristrocrat Grosvenor

Very nice. !THUMBS! Well, as suggested, I had a little play, adjusted the mech back a bit, took a tad off the coin tube and put a bit of paper in where it attaches to the main frame to twist it slightly and the door shuts just fine :D but the little tube (refill hole) is now just basically blanked o...

Re: Duchess picture glass

I'm now toying with the idea of keeping the original picture glass on this machine and my Princess and making new ones but not sure if to use glass or Perspex. !PUZZLED! I've found a few places on line that cut Perspex to size though postage is stupid (Perspex cut to size about £4 postage £12 :shock...

Re: Aristrocrat Grosvenor

Initially I can't help thinking we might have a bit of a mongrel here How rude. I might be a bit rough around the edges but I don't think I'm a mongrel. Thanks for all the advice again and I've had a very quick look and I hope this all makes sense. :D Right, the little tube that is behind the...

Re: Duchess one arm bandit in lincoln. Help fix?

Hi dicky_88 I have one of these machines that I bought recently which I had to make quite a few bits for. The reason the coin drops straight out the reject tube is because the plate is missing off the front of the coin mech (covers the big oval hole at the top). There are pics of these on the forum ...

Re: Using Photoshop (or the like)

Well, downloaded a trial of Paint Shop to give it a go and scanned an old award card to see how I get on. I must admit the software is rather good and though it's a very slow process I am making a tatty award card look better, :D so tonight I thought I'd try and scan my very sad looking front glass ...
