The problem with Jamma boards or similar are that they all look the same from the outside, working or completely fried! Wow, you sound to be going to a whole heap of trouble, time and cost. Are second hand cabinets not cheap over there? They are here. Just buy an old one, rip the guts out and build yours into it.

It is interesting to note if you scroll down the listing the two 'messages' asking " will you accept 550 pounds now?" and the other reply, "several antique dealers have looked at this and cant understand why its started so low".

Yes, that's exactly what I thought and then seems to have been all painted over with stain. Patina is a hard look to replicate.
