Re: Help with my latest project
Hi, I'm sure the fingers would be something like,
1st. Single or double cherry
2nd. Cherries with the 3rd reel bar
3rd. Oranges and plums
4th. Bells and cumbers
5th. Bars / Jackpot payout
Sometimes you can get 4 reel strips, so easier for the 3rd strip to be correct dependant on the model.

Re: Bryan's Payramid... What a shame!
Crude but it works!. Made the outer casing and 'jackpot guide' as well. Just got to put it together now!

Re: Bryan's Payramid... What a shame!
Superb!... Thanks for the pics. The patent is good but the pics certainly clear up a couple of niggles. I have some bits that will be useful but could do with some form of base or slide to get up and running. Have contacted a few people but the only promising one was a chap who apparently had sold a...

Re: What's the best paint to use please?
Great looking machine Widget....nice job. I agree that yours was a close call. I think if more turned up like yours originally was, it may be an easier decision to leave alone. I tend to target machines that leave me no choice. Usually reflected in the price too...

Re: Bryan's Payramid... What a shame!
It arrived yesterday!! I am very pleased with the machine so far. It works very well, only needing a few minor adjustments. If anyone has one of these, I would appreciate a couple of close-ups of the payout situation. My jackpot is complete but would also like to see how it is 'fed' presumably from ...

Re: Bryan's Payramid... What a shame!
A deal was done on the payramid and should arrive next week!. So I may as well continue the thread early by asking if anyone has any spare 'payout' bits for this that they will sell? (I have also placed in the 'Market'). Picture below show one complete as oppose to the one above.

Re: Bryan's Payramid..What a shame!
Hi guys, I've looked at the patent and think I understand the principle. Pictures on Mr. Wrights site show the 'casing' around the tube and slide, so I've probably concluded that it's more complicated than it really is! The easy question to ask is whether other Bryan's machines use a similar payout ...

Bryans 1930s Payramid jackpot
Hi Everyone, After a great day at the Coundon auction, I'm still on my quest for a few pre war machines! I've so far only managed to buy a clown catcher and have posted a request for a replacement base but unfortunately haven't had any response yet!. Thanks for the heads up on restoration by the way...

Re: Which clown?
Hi Guys. Thanks for the info regarding the wood. I tend to agree and have cleaned up the case as best I can for now and will apply polish next. The sides are fairly good but the top has a couple of black stains, one of which looks the shape of a 'spam' tin!!. Think it must have been sitting on it fo...

Re: Which clown?
Hi all, I generally have been collecting Mills bandits for the past couple of years but got the 'allwin/drop case' bug at the Coundon Club auction just gone. (Fantastic do once again by the way!) Bought a couple that have certainly re kindled the fire again and also bought a bit of a case on fleebay...

Re: Last part of bandit cycle fails
Glad you fixed the problem. Something I'm sure I've come across after completing a rebuild. Couldn't initially understand why it didn't quite seem to finish its cycle. I went through every adjustment, spring, lever and pad/stop really concluding that everything was correct. Turns out a microscopic d...

Re: Mills screw/bolt sizes
There always seems to be the odd screw or nut/bolt missing from every machine you get. I’ve found eBay useful for that sort of thing as I hate replacing with modern incorrect bits even down to a screw!. Occasionally a chap from Vegas advertises a mixed batch which so far I have bought two bags. Usua...

Re: Import duty, shipping costs, etc. from USA
I seem to remember a thread regarding import duties etc. There was a 'duty code' mentioned reducing 20% to 5%. I tried it and it worked on a rather expensive machine from the States. People mention various delivery companies but I've found Fedex is superb. The clue is to get an account with them as ...

Re: Artwork on side of Mills bandits
Hi, Yes they were original to the earlier machines. There are plenty of pics on the web. I've got several machines that I would like to refinish the gilding to. I'd found a 'euro' site that actually had the stensils to do three different versions but when I recently tried to access the site again......
