Re: Tumbling Pricesā¦
Would there be any chance that the weak pound and the strong dollar is causing prices of American-made machines to rise, rather than tumble. I have seen some Jennings go for stratospheric prices recently, Governors, in particular. They are not rare and even ones with scabby chrome regularly make mo...

Re: Interesting 1950 trade advert for chrome Hi-Top
Had to add this Jennings with a "live jackpot" jennings.JPG Here is an actual machine from my collection, indeed it is 1948. The live jackpot releases if the red light stays when you hit three bars. it is fitted with a one in three Cam which is quite generous imo. also has 1 x cherry 3 pa...

Re: No Thanks
Hi Penny machines Yes, I remember that chat now. Think I was with Roger Bates at the time. It was working when I bought it. All the vacumn lines had been replaced, however there was a leak in one of the coin sensing bellows which meant that one horse didn't pay off if it won, also cranksahft was out...

I bought the 1937 Paces Races at Christies. I still have it and works flawlessly. Could you tell me anymore about the Swiss collection it came from?
Thanks Nigel

Re: Chrome spray paint
A friend of mine had a mirror finish wrap on his car and WOW did it look good. It is dipped in a bath with film floating on top. So long is there are not too many contours, it looks like chrome and a MUCH better finish than chrome paint!

Re: Anyone want to buy a set of five Jennings machines?
I'll start the ball rolling, and perhaps I'm way out of line but a Jennings Prospector console recently sold in the US for $8,500 and that is a much rarer machine, so I'm saying $5,000 per machine with the Silver Dollar going for a little more... maybe.. .on a good day. :!?!: I would agree the 3 low...

Greed, pure greed. Never sell them in his lifetime. Guess his family will sell for a tenth of that once he's passed.

Re: Tumbling Pricesā¦
I don't see tumbling prices for bandits, unless they're badly restored and missing parts that are not easily available. Jennings Chief prices have surged, as have most high end bandits. Don't know about allwins as not my area of expertise, although I heard the large allwins from the 50s are enjoying...

Thought i would just add my tuppence worth to this thread:- I'm Nigel and I totally understand the trepidation about using Colcon, but i took the plunge and signed up in November and purchased my first lot on Sunday. I went to the collectors meet kindly hosted by Pete Williamson at Merrivale and rea...

Probably reel strips are loose. Just realign and crimp the tins on the side a bit tighter!

Re: Sweet Paradise One Arm Bandit
Sorry I cannot be of much help but it looks like an IGT machine that is full of electronics. This forum only deals with mechanical and electro mechanical machines. It is just too new for most on here. Google "New Life Games". Their forum should be much more helpful. Good luck!
