Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures, I'm sure between the two of us we can get these machines working again.

Re: Jamiesons Skill poker machine

Tuffing, I have not got mine working just yet. I am intending to take part of it to my local TV repair shop. I can't find any footage of one in use as yet, or the almost identical Royal Flush model. Can you put some photos of your machine on here?

Re: Fry's reproduction vending machine or not?

Bad penny, yes I have never seen a wooden chocolate vendor either, actually takes 3 old pennnies and does operate, and like you say, it looks the part.

Fry's reproduction vending machine or not?

I bought this Fry's vending machine recently, and due to its price (£45), and looking at pictures of the inside, which looks brand new, it's going to be a later reproduction, but I have never seen a picture of an original example of this particular machine, and someone has gone to a fair bit of time...

Re: Rare vending machine Boomerang and Rolo

Brilliant, thanks Dave. Wasn't hopeful of seeing a picture of another one. Quite plain actually, with no artwork on the sides.

Rare vending machine Boomerang and Rolo

Bought a job lot of vending machines from Norwich recently. Turns out they came out of the old post office. Four hours drive later I arrived. As you can see from one of the pictures, they are a bit toasty, and some have paint on. This would put off most buyers, but I spotted a Mackintosh Rolo vendin...

Peter Simper hopper problem

Hello, I need a little help with my Peter Simper fruit machine. It has recently developed a fault in which the hopper continues to pay out until empty, causing me to have to turn off the machine. I have swapped around relays, but as yet no fix. Can you tell me what the most likely cause of this prob...

Re: Peter Simper Atlantic fruit machine

The pins in those plastic sockets are held in place by small prongs, there are various small tools for each type and size that allow you to remove the pins and replace with new. Head down to your local DIY electronics store with a sample and they'll have what you need. Thank you gameswat You might ...

Re: Peter Simper Atlantic fruit machine

Aristomatic, I just added another photo - it is of the wires coming from the power supply that have been cut, and the plastic connector which I assume would marry together with another plastic connector. Where would I get hold of the correct connector? Or should I cut the existing connector off and ...

Peter Simper Atlantic fruit machine

I picked up a Peter Simper Atlantic model fruit machine from Bristol yesterday. I travelled a fair few miles to collect it. It had been stored outside in a yard, the only thing protecting it from the elements was some aluminium sheets. I knew what kind of condition it was going to be in before I got...

Re: Vintage Pay Rise fruit machine

Rare machine, they didn't let many escape. There may be some appearing for sale on the internet sites soon, as when I went to look in this cellar there were another four or five there. The one I bought seemed to be the best as the back door was locked shut, and also came with the schematics, and an...

Re: Vintage Pay Rise fruit machine

Re: Vintage Pay Rise fruit machine

What is odd is that, assuming the pins are earth, N and L, normally the earth pin is different in shape or size, so you don’t accidentally connect incorrectly causing injury or damage. They all look the same. Just noticed that the top pin is longer than the other two. In picture two, of the electri...

Peter Simper Pay Rise fruit machine

I recently got hold of a vintage fruit machine (early seventies) rescued from a cellar in Accrington. A builder who had bought the building was selling everything in there to clear it out, so nothing known about the machine. It didn't come with a power supply lead. It is a three pin circular fitting...

Re: Oh Boy Gum vending machine

A shred of info regarding Goudey Gum & The Bristish Chewing Sweets connection. In April 1927 Harry Lauder a great chewing gum fan (the Prince Of Wales at the time was also a fan) was on a tour of America and Canada with a Major Hugh A Green. During this short time they purchased a $10,000 inter...
