Re: Have you heard of an allwin called Double Your Win?
You can never be 100% sure, but I would say it was one of Oliver Whales re-manufactured machines Well, as I said, I'm 90% sure it's a Shefras product, having done some research recently into their output (to be submitted to MMM when I get around to it). The example below is atypical because it lack...

Re: Have you heard of an allwin called Double Your Win?
Hi Scottie,
I believe the Double Your Win was made by Morris Shefras's company, the Amusement Machine Mart sometime in the late 1950s. I've seen a few and owned one, but never figured out how you double your win. Is there a feature on yours which allows the player to achieve this?

Re: BAC 1911 Railway Contracts
I've seen pic's of one in a book, but never actually seen a machine with the Peters name casting on it. Nor have I. Thanks to that excellent little Shire Album publication, Automatic Vending Machines by Colin Emmins we have some great pictures of once common but now very rare machines, including th...

Re: I need balls!
Hey Rivierakid,
The balls I supply are all new and shiny but, if you let me know the dimensions, I may have some old wrinkly ones in my pocket somewhere.
I do have some used/worn/dull ones which you can have for price of postage if they're suitable.

Re: New Steve Hunt auctions
Should the peerless chancer Steve hunt
For one more preposterous stunt?
When no Bumper was found,
And the bailiffs came round,
His name and our cash took the brunt.
Sorry, that was a bit mean-spirited. The 'rhyme with Hunt' challenge led me astray. I wish him success with his new enterprise.

An impudent fella named Steve,
Four times every year sought reprieve,
Amidst elephant do,
Floggin' rockin' horse poo,
Or that's what he'd have us believe.

Re: Talk about weighting around!
Hey Gameswat - it just gets better and better. The scale obviously looks a lot heavier than it is, and those 12" discs are a real bonus. Vinyl Carvers UK record cutting service will master a 10" record for £24 and a 12" for £32 (vinyl, not shellac). Can't bear to look at Jingle's pict...

Re: Talk about weighting around!
You lucky man Gameswat! I've always been fascinated by Speak Your Weight scales and although they're such a prominent part of coin-op folklore, they're exceedingly rare. I'm only aware of two British makers: British Automatic Company Ltd. and Charles Ahrens . I know of a couple of Ahrens scales but ...

Re: Penny Pusher - help needed
1. Does anyone know the maker of this machine and when it was made? I'd forgotten, until Jerry mentioned it, that we'd pinned down Mini-Pusher , Aladdin's Lamp and Davey Jones' Locker to CAM Automatics . I think this was a result of Slotalot's research into the other CAM games - the little light-fl...

Re: Earth Satellite
I think I would agree with Jingle's valuation, although I was the reckless buyer of the one that went for £625. The vendor took pity on me for braving the snow to collect and let me have it for £620. Still pricey compared to the second one, but as Jingle says, that's how it goes. I wait ages for a s...
