I mentioned in the November issue of the magazine that I thought BAC may have been a fairly major player. Well, as it turns out, they were huge!
Anyway, all will be revealed in the December mag.

Does your token look like this? These are standard allwin tokens, which typically were numbered '1', although higher numbers were used among the '1s', as can be seen in this picture.

I was away yesterday, and now find that this thread runs to five pages. Much of what has been said seems to cover the same ground, but guest above has perhaps found the solution we need - and it's already written in the act. Clearly, no one could reasonably suggest that a collector will receive any ...

The law DOES encompass vintage penny slot machines - that's the problem! Just in case anyone is still unclear: It is not illegal to own a gaming machine. It is not illegal to buy a gaming machine. It is not illegal to play a gaming machine. It is not illegal to operate a gaming machine, although dep...

Re: WW1 and WW2 related machines

Don't be fooled by the chips in the glass, Arrgee. I have a BMCo Digger with chips in a similar position.

Well, nip out to the post office for a while, and look what's happened to this thread! Thanks for your input and support in all this Laurence - yes, I look forward to that drink after Christmas (although I'll no doubt be in touch before). As some of you will know, Laurence and I have had discussions...

Yes, it is puzzling. Someone from outer space might think he was on the wrong planet. I sometimes think I'm on the wrong planet! But selling any form of gaming machine without a licence is illegal. As for selling on ebay, that is still illegal. Some sellers state that "payouts have been disconn...

POLICE STATE LEGISLATION

Margamatix, you... (Topic edited for clarity - Site Admin) ... do not understand our draconian gaming laws. The issue isn't about 'how long after or away from the auction' - IT IS ALWAYS, AT ANY TIME, ANYWHERE, TOTALY ILLEGAL to sell a gaming machine. We were able to sell in the auction, on behalf o...

Re: WW1 and WW2 related machines

Yes, nice machine Woody. And as John says, it's always an added bonus to find a BMCo machine with it's top flash. However, I have serious doubts as to whether it's original. The artwork within certainly doesn't look new, but the whole thing just looks wrong. These larger top flashes were normally fo...

Thank you to Arrgee and Guest for your supportive words and points of view, all of which (as Badpenny has stated) we have discussed and considered on many occasions. In the run-up to the Coventry auction last year, Badpenny wanted to charge an entry fee and make a charge for unsold lots which we con...

I haven't noticed any machines from the auction on ebay yet Brian. I wonder which ones you refer to? However, I'm already hearing of unsold lots being sold in the carpark afterwards, and wonder which part of "there is to be no buying and selling in the carpark" was not fully understood. Th...

Well, going by the number of emails I've received this morning, the consensus seems to suggest we all had a great day. The venue was extremely pleasant, although it was surprising how it seemed to shrink once we started filling it with machines! As stated above, our greatest number of lots so far. I...

BLOODY POST OFFICE!

Sorry to hear you have not received your catalogue Brian. I've checked my Paypal account, and there was not a problem with payment - the transaction completed on 12th Nov. Your catalogue was posted on Monday, so you should have received it on Wednesday. I'll make sure I keep one back for when you ar...

It's looking really good!

The catalogues are at the printers and should be ready to post Monday. I can now confirm we have 250+ lots, so this really will be our biggest event so far. We now have a great and varied selection of allwins, including half a dozen BMCo - which must be a record number for many years. Bryans fans wi...

We would rather catalogues are bought in advance as it is difficult to judge the print run if people just turn up on the day. We've made this as easy as possible by offering online payment through this site, so there should be no reason to turn up without a catalogue. Details will be posted in the M...

Arrgee, the instructions are not original as the machine is almost certainly pre WWI - it's been converted to 10p play. All will be revealed in the next issue of the magazine.

Re: Mystery Metal Label Stamper

I think the stamper mystery has now been solved. A full feature will be included in the next issue of the magazine, and will be posted here in due course. In the meantime, I can reveal that at least one BAC stamper exists in this country, and is located at the National Railway Museum, York.

It's looking good!

Well, the entry forms have been coming in daily and we now have over 160 lots. Once again we have a great selection of goodies on offer, although as with Sarratt, we are at this stage a little short of allwins. Those that have been entered so far include: 2 really nice BMCo allwins; Win a Smarties; ...

Relay Wiring Diagram

I emailed this drawing to Ninecup last week, but have posted it here as I thought it might be useful for other users. Sorry it's a bit of a crap drawing, but you should get the general idea. For anyone who finds electrical stuff daunting, here's a brief explanation of how it works: When a coin is in...

Calendar info. coming soon!

Ok, I'll fix the Calendar with site admin. in the next couple of days. The October magazines were posted today, so I'm hoping that you'll all receive your copies by the end of the week. Although with the huge back-log of post due to the postal strike, I'm not over confident. Entry forms for the auct...
