Re: Text and picture alignment

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to replicate this on an iMac/Safari (or Chrome, Firefox) browser. I've made some changes anyway, but suspect to no avail. :!?!:

Re: Rubber bump stop

What's the outside diam? I think 'rubber mushroom, plug/stop/bumper' are the keywords. Otherwise you might use some solid rubber cylinder for the body attached to a 'small round rubber appliance foot'. :!?!:

Re: AMECO Step Up To Mike/Fono Post identified

The sliding door on the one above has come off its tracks. Too many kids inside? The Fono Post in the Malta museum is well preserved, documented and photographed. This voice recording machine was previously owned by Carabott of Merchants Street, Valletta. It dates back to the 1920s and used to be ou...

Re: Photo Weigh booth & card identified

Just some info that some of you may find interesting that I just saw on my family photo from the 1960s (photoweigh LTD photo booth at Brighton palace pier) that I’m restoring. Three of them squeezed in and on my grandad's shoulder was the booth's entrance curtain clearly visible. So from this I can...

OK, this sounds eerily like the Museum picture alignment issue on Safari/imacs dealt with a year ago (hence the topic merge). I'll look into it today,

Re: Miracle restoration! Backglass for a Roto-Pool

I've played with AI that rescues low resolution images by inventing the missing information, but it just hadn't occurred to me how useful this could be for vintage slot graphics. Very ingenious!

Re: The Forum's yearly check up

Thank you JP & Arrgee. What I did see at the forum is that almost no one is logged in. Now there were 70 guests and three people logged in. Do people want to stay anonymous these days? I guess many visitors don't need to sign in or register to post a question because the answer's already ...

Geo-blocking

I have somewhat reluctantly geo-blocked areas of the site to reduce unwanted traffic and hackers. Unless you're in a country that's both non-European and non-English speaking, this should not affect you. I've also added bot filtering for similar reasons.

Posts per page increased

I've upped the number of Forum posts per page from 10 to 20. It's been 10 since the old days of dial-up modems when page and image loads were vastly slower. Only downside is that reference in posts to other posts by page number are messed up (unless I get around to changing them).

From pachitalk forums : From what I've learned so far, this machine was made in 1964 and I think this was the only and last year they were made. The Star Chief is a variant of one of the Continentals that has a star on some of the fruit symbols. If 3 of the same fruits line up with a star on them th...

I agree. I gather a maximum four year prison sentence, and fine of $100,000 is considered proportionate.
