R&W supplied Tick-Tock

I've just received a Bryans Tick-Tock which I won a couple of weeks ago on ebay. I'm curious about the "Supplied by Ruffler & Walker" badge on the front (see pic). Were R&W agents for Bryans or did they deal in used machines perhaps? Pardon my ignorance but I'm just curious about t...

I suspect the Bryans Bumper alone will be enough to persuade many to make the trip!

The Greyhound Racer

Regarding the Greyhound Racer just sold on ebay (Item no: 6243511953). Just curious but was anybody else surprised that this machine sold for over £4.5K or is this a fairly reasonable price?

I used to own that Austrian one, sold it on ebay a couple of years ago. I remember being a bit cheesed off that my "post to UK only" auction was won by an Austrian. Had a load of hassle shipping it and ended up losing a fair amount of money on the shipping cost... more fool me! A fair mach...

A standard pinball cabinet is around 56cm wide so that shouldn't be a problem. The heads are wider of course but are easily removed, you just need to unplug a few connectors that join the cab to the head (my 1972 Bally Fireball has just three connectors in the head to unplug). The head can then be u...

Pinball prices are weak too. I've just sold a Bally Fireball (1972 EM pinball) on ebay for £500, bought it for £880 on ebay a year ago :(

I've a few other pins I want to sell, think I'll hang onto them for a year or two 'till it all cycles round again!

Not really my area of expertise this but IIRC most machines should be OK down to around 210 volts. Some machines are more sensitive than others though... I used to have a Twilight Zone that rebooted every time my wife turned on the washing machine! She did it first time I ever got to the wizard mode...

The switch error is unlikely to be related to the reset problem. The software will have reported that switch 56 hasn't been activated for a while and is advising you to check it. It could be a faulty or badly adjusted switch or simply that you have not made that particular shot for a long time. Not ...

Some vigilant ebayers put in ridiculously high bids when they see a scam to prevent the unwary from bidding on them and getting ripped off. If it wasn't a 'Private Auction' you would have seen the high bidders name would have been something like "its_a_scam" or "scam_auction". Ke...

Melvyn Wright's Bryans site

Melvyn's web site seems to have disappeared for the past couple of days, anybody know if this is just temporary or has it moved or something?

Ripplers: repro & real

I'm sure I've seen at least three reproduction Bryan's Ripplers appear on ebay in the past month alone... could even be four... :!?!: I don't think they're all the same one readvertised but correct me if I'm wrong.

Just curious, but where are they all coming from ???

Hi Bookie, I think the Disappearing Disk was £1500 or £1550. Cheaper than the String Cutter but poorer quality.

Are you sure that 'Tinny' (Mutoscope) went for £900, Pete? I didn't write it down but am fairly sure it was £500. Correct me if I'm wrong but £900 sounds a heck of a lot...
