Re: Spicers Auction 24.11.2023
I used to own a later version of the Chicago Coin "Basketball Champ." Same game, different case. It was a fantastic game and a delight to play. The original version, offered here, is well worth the starting bid, provided it works.

Wow! What a terrific story, coppinpr. It could well serve as the basis for a movie. It has everything: money, criminals, foreigners and a young lad in the middle. Someone call Spielberg.

Re: pom pom gun id
Dale Electronics produced a game called Pom Pom Gun in 1958. There was no picture of the machine but I'm pretty sure it is your game. There was also a game named "Sky Gunner" made by Genco in 1952 but the picture shows a different machine. Military themed arcade games were very popular in...

Re: Ell's Diabolo
Thanks Mr. PM! I'm sending the link to the owner who can now put the word description together with the diagram. He's figured out the play mechanism in back but the playfield in front is still somewhat a mystery. I'm hopeful he will authorize pictures once he has the game sorted. J Peterson Boloed-O...

Re: Always willing to learn.....
I think Gameswat pretty much nailed it. We pine for the items of our youth. That is nowhere more evident than here on PennyMachines where most postings are now about fruit machines as opposed to the older British games. There is a category of outliers like Roger and me who are attracted to the "...
