A maxim I have always found to be true was told to me many years ago is as follows, The tickets of opportunity are stamped valid this day only.
I have a set of 10 different cards similar to this card (which I bought). The texts on the back do not include the text on this card. The card is illustrated below and, as you see, states 'Sole Makers & Patentees A.W. Patents, Southport'. Do not have any idea what the machine looked like though.
