Jolly Boys Outing to Chicagoland Coin Op Show
Just a thought, has anyone here ever considered arranging a trip for PennyMachine members to the infamous Chicagoland Coin Op Show that is organised twice a year. We could treat it as a "Jolly Boys Outing / Holiday / Buying trip", a group of us fly over, have a few beers, chat about slots,...

Thanks for the ideas.
I'll check out the 20p thing, see if they roll as well as a round coin!!!!
As for the suggestion from Elephant Auction, I rather fancy the Vintage Antique Disco Rope Lights!!!!!

Nickel Coins and Size
Does anyone have any 5c/Nickels they don't need? Or know where I can buy some (without flying to the States!!!), maybe one of our American members can help out? Or is there an equivalent UK coin size? Thinking of buying a machine that takes 5c coin, would prefer to keep it on that denomination. Thanks

Re: Jennings Coinage 5p - Any Alternatives?
Operator Bell you are correct, those are the payout values. Last night I rebuilt the whole Jennings Mech, I had every nut and bolt apart, cleaned and ready for action. Started at 9pm Saturday, gave myself a couple of hours to totally rebuild, in fact I was so cocky that I even believed it'll be done...

Re: Jennings Coinage 5p - Any Alternatives?
Thanks for the info. Will try 10p. As you own a few of these, just wondering if you can help on this... As you can see from the picture this Jennings has 7 slides. The picture states how many coins are held in each, what I've never seen before is the top one...its HUGE!! it holds 7 coins... is this ...

Jennings Coinage 5p - Any Alternatives?
I notice on Jennings they always have 2 pulls for 1 coin. This I hate - I like to grab the punters money from EVERY pull, :HaHa: , that's the greed in me coming out!!!!! Apart from this, why are so many of these Jennings on the old 5p (or should that be, Shilling!!!). Is there an EASY alternative, m...

Re: Ruffler & Walker Fill Em Up - How It Works!
Thanks for your comments. My next project is the workings of the Mills HorseHead Bonus mechanism, how it manages to pop the letters up in sequence, and know which ones are already displayed!!!! Some might say my videos help educate the younger generation on the absence of electronics... others just ...

Ruffler & Walker Fill Em Up - How It Works!
Hi Guys,
As I was bored the other day, I spent the afternoon filming how this wonderful machine works. A quick explanation, although the microphone on my laptop was not too good. Hope you enjoy!

Re: Mills Golden Nugget not cycling properly
Shame you don't mention where you are. If you're close to Hertfordshire, you're welcome to bring it 'round and I'll help sort the problem. Pictures and videos do help but, as others may agree, actually handling the mechanics is so much easier to diagnose the problem. Offer's there if you need it. Go...

What's the 3rd Payout cup for (Mills Slot machine)?
Not sure if it's been discussed here before, or someone else has come across this picture, but while searching the internet for hours the other night looking for Mills Golden Nugget images, I came across the following image. I'm puzzled what the 3rd payout cup on the bottom left does. Any ideas? Jus...

Re: Crane Grabber Machine
lol... yes but have you seen the prices... OK I admit if it was a one arm bandit I'd happily spend triple on it.. however, I know what my son is like, after a few weeks he'll be bored with it and on to something else, like Nurf Guns!!!! Besides one thing that scares me about buying one of these mode...

Super Challenger - Bradley or R&W?
Topic merged - site admin. Just a quickie... I have a Super Challenger coin drop case type machine, which I have always believed to have been made by Bradley, and looking at pictures on the web, mine is identical. However, when I got mine, there was a small oval brass/red logo badge glued to the fr...

Re: Crane Grabber Machine
Thanks for the picture. I think I got it now. Just ordered some electric motors, and the joystick and buttons. Next... the wood, the paint, the glass, and not forgetting the fluffy cuddly toys. This is gonna be a long long project... not forgetting the wiring, which I don't have a clue at this stage...

Crane Grabber Machine
Hi Guys, Yes my son has discovered the joy of these amusement grabber type machines. We all know the type I'm on about, where the operator fixes the torque of the claws so even on a perfect clutch of a cuddly toy the thing drops it before it gets to the dispenser!!!! But having looked on the web the...

Re: Ruffler & Walker allwin payout knob
The End of the Story.... And so the end is now... I've completed the entire R&W with new KNOB!!!! This thread can RIP. I cast the metal knob last night from a mould I made earlier yesterday. The results, I'm impressed with, never done anything like it before... Here are the final pictures. BTW: ...
