Re: Buckley kicker question
It could.
They do tend to operate efficiently when in the same plane as the original.
If however that solves the problem, it tells you it's not heavy enough gauge as it shouldn't have bent in the first place.
Give it a try and tell us how it goes.

Really important to see a summary like that, I had forgotten some of those names (both people and machines)

Re: Trouble with Aristocrat reels not releasing
:HaHa: A hobby I have often considered myself TF. Usually when I'm half way in transit on a flight of stairs, elbows trembling and knees akimbo. I find my immediate thoughts wondering if the front door at the bottom will be strong enough to stop the passage of a Sega Continental in the process of ma...

Re: Trouble with Aristocrat reels not releasing
In that case, it'll never cycle as I already said. Without the round thing on top of the rear V section supported on top the vertical fingers won't retract enough so the discs and reels will be locked. I'm not sure I agree with TF concerning the distance not increasing the height lifted. Adjusting t...

Re: Trouble with Aristocrat reels not releasing
It'll be the Dog & Anvil. Slacken the retaining bolt on the anvil and tap it closer to the dog. That will enable it to engage with the dog sooner and be tilted further back which in turn will push the vertical finger reset bar to its limit. Clearing the fingers from the discs, allowing the reels...

Re: Quite a rare beasty - Mills Futurity
Yes, you're right brigham. It's the same cheat that The Horse's Head utilises on alternative games to leave the B O N U S letters vulnerable. The Hi-top BONUS had no switch over cam so it was a true 1x20 stop. I've heard this last ditch attempt to legitimise its reputation was too late, even with Wo...

Desirable machine bp, and a good looker (Futurity that is). You post some nice pics and tempt us as to what this machine is supposed to do and intimate that they lived up to the ubiquitous shadey reputation of the slot world, but have you reached ten plays without a win of any kind yet ! :!?!: Come...

Re: Quite a rare beasty - Mills Futurity
Very nice J, very nice indeed. Although I'm not really much of a bandit man, certainly not so much as I once was, the Futurity is one machine that I would love to own. And you say you just happened to arrive back with it when returning from Coventry? Well, I've been to Coventry on quite a few occas...

Quite a rare beasty - Mills Futurity
Mills Futurity 5c Just over a year ago I attended a funeral in Coventry. My first Father in Law. Then just before Christmas I went to a second funeral in Coventry, this time it was my first Mother in Law's second husband. So that'd be my Step Father in Law. Finally two weeks later on New Year's Eve...

Re: Machine Conversions
Certainly at the time of decimalisation the general attitude to it was that it was a rip-off. At first many operators did the easy conversion, 1d to 2np being similar sized coins. However that was a price increase of nearly 600%. Whereas 1d to 1np (still more than double value increase) was a radica...

That's interesting, I've never seen the likes before.
It clearly originates from when it had more value earning its living than as a collectors' item.
