Re: So many questions....
Ah so that is what the red light is for, very interesting Jackpot, although I am surprised they didn't have a coin feed from the overflow to fill up, unless the jackpot is a different coinage, probably one of the last mechanical Aristocrats.

Black Magic
Came across a bandit up in Scotland for sale, which low and behold was one of my favourite manufacturers Aristocrat, decided to follow up. Although the machine perhaps is not the rarest of items, I do like the Gold Stars and this being the the Governor type rather than Nevada, but was in cracking co...

Re: So many questions....
Those Scatterbrains are big old things, when I went to the Fieldings auction last year there was one there, it reminds me of some of the larger Bally's, where the mechanism looks tiny inside the case. I chose not to bid on it and from memory no one did, but I guess someone bought it as it sold for 2...

Re: Starting up an auction page on the forum?
As PM stated, this would probably appeal to people selling more in demand items, but runabout bandits and slots would not get the buyers....The other issue is, people would still want to list the item at a very high price to start as they would not trust enough people would see it to start low, so y...

Re: Mills/Pace conversion with side vendor
If you look at one of the pictures on ebay, I am sure you can see a faint 5C shape in the area you are talking about, so may have come from another machine. 25C is unusual for a Poinsetta type machine and may have been changed, as this would have been a fair sum in its day. Also a lot of these vendo...

Re: Middlehurst Coronet
Wow, finally some pictures You can see where Ainsworth got the ideas for the Clubmaster, similar cash tray arrangement, handle and art decco design. The marble formica is certainly not going to be missed. Unusual door arrangement for a bandit, there even appears to be some pattern on the inside door...

Re: New to the forums
I assume it is like below...., although I don't remember a silver one on ebay recently, there was a blue one like below sold by one of our fellow members. I have loads of these, some pictured below and love them, made after the Clubmaster, steel cabinet and came in three variants, Arcadian, Starlite...

Re: Bringing them back from the grave!
If you look at the link below, Gameswat did a great job on a Hi Top with wrinkle paint, if you can have a steady hand with the right warm day, it is the best way to hide the poor metal finish of soft metal castings like Hi Tops, which tend to be pitted ans scrapped when stripped.... https://pennymac...

Re: Bringing them back from the grave!
That Bursting Cherry looks good, not so easy to do on the polishing and paint front, quite detailed. As a matter of interest, what type of paint did you use and was this just a case of very careful masking work? Coppin, I noticed in one of the restored pictures the formica at the bottom in a repaire...

Old coin catcher
I am sure you have all seen the old coin catcher on ebay at the moment, but does anyone have any info on it, eg who made this and date, which I am guessing is early, especially being on half penny. The control on the right seem simple enough, with the token win handle and flicker. I assume the windo...

Re: Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
I believe the below is the correct award for the Bonus, you come across so many machines with the wrong awards, either repros, customised like casino branded or cards replaced from different machines

Re: Slots in Australia.
Well given it can take days to get from one town to the next this would explain the lack of communication or interaction. Imagine the conversation about the best location for an Ausie slot auction,,,,,, Perth or Adelaide, but that is a 47hour drive from Sidney....

Re: Are we all too busy to contribute?
I am sure a lot of people have always been watchers and have better things to do and contribute when something relevant comes up they feel they can add value to or when they need help. I guess it does not matter as long as there is contribution. I have been on here almost 4 years, when I started col...

Re: Churchill Columbia ??
I am sure if you look at Copins posts and I am sure he will advise as he restored one recently, a Groetchen Columbia are sweet little machines. The jackpot on this may be false as the coins seem a bit neatly stacked. Values are difficult to estimate, but anywhere from 250-500 I guess, depending on c...

Re: Aristocrat Arcadia 65 - reels not spinning
As per my point under the thread on Ebay under the auction section, one can become disillusioned with the idiots who miss-sell goods on ebay, as per this person who has joined the site, posted a dozen different questions, listened to no one and then lies on ebay.... I will give you a pound for it????

Re: Big lot - Bandits and Bryans
People have been doing this since Ebay began and is not new... of course it is annoying, but I do know Ebay do monitor this behaviour and if you read the T&C's there are only certain conditions to removing items early. If someone does it regularly, Ebay do track this and eventually lock them out...

Re: reels not spinning
If all parts are free running, including the kicker, then sounds like it could be a timing issue. One area to look at adjusting is the lever arm stop bolt, which is at the rear right side, which adjusts when the kicker starts.. You can free this up with the nut on top and move in or out to adjust ti...
