Clown 1955 style

This is a fascinating video of a 1955 clown delivering four balls per play and a really off-putting swinging clown!

Interesting that after 50 years of development the ball lift mech was still operating the same principal.

Re: Bryans 10 Cup

I don't think William Bryan would produce such a crude mech for channelling the balls, especially when they are channelled into a sophisticated moulding block that allows for 1-2-3 payouts to be made - bearing in mind that this altered machine only pays out on the top and bottom rows. You can also s...

Couldn't agree more BP, I remember only about 2 years ago I saw a Cascade in a 'junk shop' I did look at it but walked away: front paintwork was in a bad state and the shop wanted £450 !!!!

Re: Airship Catcher

but, the first "airship catcher" (Zeppelin, Parseval) were working with the coin you put in, so you could not convert them into a clown catcher, as they are working with a ball Interesting thread, and some interesting looking machines. So the early Airship catchers having the coin as proj...

Re: Not only machines .... Coins as well!

So how big a pile is £1000 worth of 1p/2p and would I get charged freight on the ferry? As one who has more than a passing interest in Numismatics, I think I can help you with your query BP. A 1p coin weighs approx 3.6g and a 2p coin approx 7.2g, so if my maths is correct 100,000 1p coins or 50,000...

Thanks for that Bob, no didn't think I would see any again. :NBG:

However, the whole series of 'recent' events has been interesting and has certainly answered questions that have been posted on this forum about ownership - all is revealed in MMM

Re: Getting so much done ..

That is one lovely little machine Mr BP, nice job. Strange that Mills should call a gambling machine 'Puritan' and to also put images of them on the side, especially when the Puritans were totally against gambling and alcohol. But maybe that was Mills' intent, thus trying to fool the authorities tha...

"Caesars Palace" (no apostrophe) could be registered as a trade mark, whereas "Caesar's Palace" (with apostrophe) could not I have been given to understand that you can not register a 'name' as a trade mark, I seem to recall a few years ago that an 'Elvis Pressley' shop opened s...

Working models on fleebay

Anyone seen these:

Bollands Executioner: 300696691633 at £5.5K :burp:

Laughing Sailor: 290575555316 at £5.5K

Laughing Policeman: 300566295779 at £5K :o

Seems rather pricey to me, good luck if they can get it.

Re: Bryans values today

this being the most popular of the Bryans machines with over 11,000 sold Interesting prices and analogy treefrog but do not think that Bryans manufactured 11,000 Elevenses. I understand that Bryans numbering started at 101 and around 4500 Bryans machines in total were produced over their whole rang...

Re: BMCo allwin with no lock

Very nice machine there Jingle, quite similar to the 'Digger' by BMCo but the chrome plate on the Digger had slightly different shapes punched out. Perhaps it was made as a demonstrator by BMCo, obviously would not be in an arcade with no lock. If it were mine I would personally leave it on half pen...
