Re: Greaves Amusements Story PT2

You're young in that last photo Carl.

It strikes me if people don't write down their experiences, they'll just be lost.
I would never have guessed Carl had history with Greaves & Bally and I've known him 20 years.
Admittedly though I haven't seen him since yesterday.

Re: Small turned metal parts

Strewth, your idea of "small replacement parts for arcade machines" and mine differ. I don't know enough of what's involved to meet your needs, but even if you were able to supply accurate and detailed drawings for a competent engineer to faithfully reproduce your items, I'd still expect t...

20 seasons of it were filmed. It's all HERE
Then I think a combination of people getting fed up with Gordon Ramsay's language and attitude plus his own restaurant empire going bankrupt put paid to it.

It's not Black Magic, If you've been to one, then you know the process.
Give it a go.
If you have questions just ask, if it's a commercial, or even an intellectual question that you wouldn't want to share with others, then email/pm me.

Can't say fairer than that.

It's always sad to learn a name from the past has moved on.
You don't see a name for a little while, then you realise it's actually been years.

Re: Revamped Beromat-type bandits

Looks like playing cards of some description, although the award card shows fruits. I'm interested in the case design, but only because every time you think you've seen them all another different one pops up. Half the wooden case is gone the front of the casting looks thin and about to let go. The t...

Re: Bandits, Sheriffs, and Cigar Store Indians

My understanding of the whole kerfuffle is quite different. They weren't there for the general public to use. They were installed behind the counter to protect everybody; when a customer wants to spend a sovereign or half sovereign on something worth a fraction of that amount. Rather like somebody t...

Re: Caille Commercial

I'd suggest nickel plated finish would be most accurate. They might need brass plating first. I've had 4, all slightly different, the one I've kept was the first I had and have pulled it down completely to remove all the operator's fiddles. It now pays out everything correctly. If you want a butcher...
