Re: Aristocrat Bingo Clickety Click

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb7Gttqhv_g Thanks for your help again treefrog - have worked through the list and learned a lot about how these creatures work in the process  The reels run reasonably fast and smooth so even though a cycle doesn't last as long as it might, I'm happy with this ...

Re: Aristocrat Bingo Clickety Click

Thanks again for your patience treefrog! With the handle cocked ready to release the timing bar I can still manually move the bar back about another half inch which would, as you say, allow the reels to spin longer before the stops are activated. I see from various posts about dog and anvil, if that...

Sorry treefrog - try this? Works my end so if not, I'll concede defeat :!?!:

Meanwhile I'll see if straightening out the fan blades helps - thanks again for your help.

Re: Aristocrat Bingo Clickety Click

Thanks treefrog - reels suitably extracted and all looks well. I have attempted to attach a short video of the stops - they seem to activate fine but too quickly so that the whole spin cycle only takes about 3 seconds. The reels spin freely, it's just that the bar that releases the stops does so ver...

Re: Aristocrat Bingo Clickety Click

Thanks for your help, Treefrog. Just to check, does that mean the screw and circlip (blue arrows) the opposite end need loosening/removing respectively? I ask as I tend to have not a lot of luck with circlips that tend to spring off into a dark corner of my garage :!?!:

Re: Aristocrat Bingo Clickety Click

Having got a bit bored with being locked away I decided to take a punt on a Bandit (always previously had Allwins) and saw an Aristocrat which was one of the Bandits you guys kindly recommended as a good starter machine. Anyway it seems fine and in good overall condition but as seems to be common, t...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Just trying to get my head around Steve's latest project he announced yesterday:
URL+REMOVED+BY+SITE+ADMIN#
Looks interesting as you can still touch before you buy but I still prefer the buzz and competition of a live auction

Re: Oliver whales wood?

Probably not going to be of help here but attached was an Easy 9 I got from Elephant House a few years back and as far as I know the cash door was the original. Pic attached in case cabinet wood is same as yours and anyone can identify wood used for the cash door!

Re: Elephant House Auctions

You've probably had the email today from Steve but if not, it points to a basic draft of his proposed website URL+REMOVED+BY+SITE+ADMIN#/index.php?option=example Looks to me like it will be a sort of cross between the Pennymachines Market and eBay but I'm not clear how it would work. Either way Stev...

Re: 50 years today

Going back to decimalisation, I had stopped playing the slots by that time (starting new job got in the way :( ) so was only used to the old penny machines. What happened with the changeover? Did the operators immediately convert their machines to take new pence in which case any punters putting the...

Re: 50 years today

Decimalisation certainly greatly contributed to inflation, largely because of the trick of continuing to use the Penny as a unit of currency. In the old pound there were 240 pennies to the pound but with decimalisation the powers that be changed this to a handy 100 new pence. So immediately 1new pen...

Re: Mills Cherry?

OK -well I have a few more pics of the one up for auction at Wotton and I think I'll give it a miss as it looks like too much work and I don't trust that I could do it justice but in case it's of interest to any other forum members I've attached the pics. The report says "Will need recommission...

Mills Cherry?

I don't have experience of Bandits (apart from a Jubilee Rivierra I once bought) as I normally dabble with Allwins, but I saw this one coming up on a local auction and wondered if it was worth a gamble. From my very limited Bandit knowledge I assume it is a Mills Cherry (?) but that's as far as I've...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

I'm sure many of you will have received Steve Hunt's email letting us know that his mum Gloria, the Elephant House auctioneer, sadly passed away last August and that his dad also now has cancer. Those of us who attended the auctions will remember her with affection and admire her courage in carrying...
