Mills Gooseneck slot machine electric shocker?

Hi, I was looking through some pictures and found this interesting looking Mills slot machine which appears to have electric shock handles on the front. Does anyone have any information on who made it or what a restored one looks like? And is it a shocker machine? I have also found pictures of a sim...

Re: Ebay collection... very nice they are too!

I see your point, raj. Both ebay and auction houses have good and bad points. On ebay, I always ask lots of questions if a machine is a bit too far to travel to view. I have had two examples of machines on ebay which I won and refused to purchase after the seller did not spot the odd large hole or l...

Re: Ebay collection... very nice they are too!

Hi guys, advice taken. I was interested in the Horse Head Bonus slot, the Little Duke and the War Eagle. The Bonus machine has been damage repaired, you can see a weld mark on the front top left of top casting, maybe more; still nice though. And the War Eagle has a corner piece chipped off where the...

Ebay collection... very nice they are too!

So Coventry will soon be upon us. Most of us have been saving our pennies for that one, and just out of the blue a lovely selection of slot machines appear on ebay!!! Well, I may be off to Prestatyn, Coventry, or whatever direction my slot machine compass points me in........ !!YIPPEE!!

Re: Changes to 5p and 10p coins

I like the way they say "Making new 5p and 10p coins out of nickel-plated steel will save the taxpayer a significant amount of money"!!! So what about the rest of the country (mainly businesses) who have to pick up the tab to convert all their machines??? !PUZZLED! I get it, that would gen...

Re: Corn Exchange

Thanks for the pictures and information! The glass on my machine is slightly different to the pictures posted. It has a hand painted look to it and is missing the 'patent applied for' bit in the middle. As for the case, I guess it has been tidied up in the past and needs a lot of tlc to make it look...

Re: Corn Exchange

Hi there, I won this machine. The only things wrong with it mechanically are the regulator (piston) which controls the spinning disc. It's full of oil. Have not had a good look at it yet, so not sure if there should be an air seal on there or something like that. It plunges too quick, not giving the...

Re: Watling or Mills?

I've got it! I just had a Rodney Trotter moment..... !!IDEA!! Stand behind machine, look at the top casting and the letter you see is an "M" for Mills, or alternatively, stand in front of the machine balancing on your head, and wollah! an "M" for Mills.... **xXx** !!CHEERS!! !!RA...

Re: Watling or Mills?

Have tried a few times to post a picture, but just keep getting a box and no picture. So follow this link to see what the machine may have looked like. Click on the small picture to view a large image. My guess is the machine on ebay was converted long ago by someone like Firmans or Samsons perhaps?...

Re: Jennings Peacock

I also asked the seller for more pictures, but his reply was the files were too large to send???? Anyway, as usual, not enough detailed info from the seller, and the pictures only show about 25% of the machine. Never seen one with a marquee on the back before? More drill holes in the top casting I e...

Re: MILLS HORSE HEAD BONUS

Yes markymark, or they offer the next highest bidder (very convenient) a second chance offer!!!!! Anyway, just had a fresh look at the bidding and I see that dodgy bidder is no more......and they bid £1450. So now back to £720 as I write this. I think ebay should stop people with a low feedback rati...

Re: MILLS HORSE HEAD BONUS

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you about the High Top Bonus being a nicer looking machine. Hope I get one one day. Out of all the early slot machines with these "bonus" features, my favourite would have to be the Pace Kitty. WOW what an awesome machine!!! I think I had better start sav...

Re: MILLS HORSE HEAD BONUS

You are right. The escalator has been changed so the coins just roll down one at a time (so it has been messed with). Q: Is it an easy fix to correct the escalator so it works properly? Or are the coins just too thick? As for the last Horse Head on ebay, I was the under bidder on that one. Would hav...
