Re: [Newbie] Looking for replacement wheel for Aristocrat Grosvenor

The later Aristocrats used clear reel tins branded Torq-lites and were made from a hard plastic (brittle). Prior to this they used a more robust black plastic and of course metal like most companies. I reckon 50% of the clear plastic ones I have seen damage, usually coming from the hub points where ...

Re: Hot off the wire

Problem is Roger, for a lot of us in the U.K. we have never seen some of these fine early machines, as most have ended up being sold to US collectors and the few left in the U.K. are in very private collections. There are less places to see them in public, so we just enjoy what we can afford and hav...

Re: Aristocrat Starlite - won’t payout

Your machine is limited to 10 coin payout, so only the lower three slides are used. Someone has removed the pins, but also the fingers for high payouts above 10 will have been adjusted on the upper fingers. Whether a spring is needed or not will depend on whether there is strength in the others to m...

Re: Hi, thanks for letting me join

Hi there, It is a very late Mills machine, probably mid '60s. See below thread on similar machines. I used to have similar. Very good conditioned, that stand is a genuine rare Sega stand for the same period, which has no longer the original paint which came in around three colours. !!THUMBSX2!! http...

Re: Aristocrat Starlite - won’t payout

I can see why that slide was broken, there are screwholes in the top three slides, usually done to restrict payout to 10 coins and someone has removed the screws. The break may not affect play as long as it runs smoothly in the cradle. Springs come up for sale occasionally on eBay and on Colcon auct...

Re: Finding some nickels

Colcon has selling coins and a few lots of nickels has sold. Also worth checking eBay, they do come up.

I have 3 or 4 rolls of nickels I must get rid of as I don’t do US coinage machine, not my bag ;-)

Re: Aristocrat Starlite - won’t payout

Yes you can see a broken slide, I have never had this happen before on an aristocrat. Also did you remove the screws from the slide cover plate, as with loose and missing screws the slides will lift up out of the cradle, which will cause payout issues. The slides look in the wrong order as well, the...

Re: Side ornaments on Mills War Eagle needed

I am guessing reading the thread below stencils we’re made back in the day and one of our old colleagues had one, not. https://pennymachines.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=16633#p16633 See also below threads with people offering help on US coin op forum for I guess the same stencil who may help, first ...
