Looking to confirm this French collector, circa 1991
Hello, can anyone here confirm the name of this French collector, filmed here in 1991?
"A. Simon" is given. There is an Andre Simon listed in the Thanks of Jean Lemaitre's book, so I'm assuming it's him, but that's still an assumption. Would love confirmation.

The Nic Costa Archive version 1.1 is online
Nic Costa is a coinop historian perhaps best known for his Automatic Pleasures book and the memorable auction of his outstanding collection. Under the care of Dr. Alan Meades (author of Arcade Britannia,) the Nic Costa Archive has been digitized. I have uploaded it to archive.org as a large ZIP file...

Re: EM machine information?
From Undumped Wiki : Ding A Bell is a non-slot gambling game created by Dennis Jezzard Ltd. and released in 1977. This game is screenless. Ding A Bell is mentioned on page 19 of Nov. 77 Play Meter. This will need to be corrected because I have a listing for Ding-A-Bell in a publication from 1974......

Re: The Undiscovered
I do not know if the D handle raises the pins there, or is perhaps just for carrying it. I am not an expert on European table games, but thankfully there are a number of them out there. I am grateful to these site creators, but also keep in mind that these are general overviews and have a number of ...

Re: The Undiscovered
Like most simple arcade machines, it's a variation on an old kid's game. These would be the kind of game where a ball rolls down a ramp or chute and you have an ability to aim/deflect it towards some pins.
Here's a great example.

Hey that one's pretty cool, taking a bit of inspiration from the Japanese machines there.

Oh wow, what a great find!!! Thank you for sharing. I wonder what specific mechanisms they used to set the pins?pennymachines wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 1:17 pm Mono Rail Skittle Alley, New Polyphon Supply Co., c1910 (image courtesy Sweetmeats)
There are very few coin-op machines that attempted a bowling naco setup.

Hello everyone, I have some updates. Happy Horses was made by Gayton Games and sold by London Coin Company and imported into Japan by ジャトレ (Jatre) who were later bought by Konami. It was made in 1974 and immediately there was a large order to Japan, so that's kind of cool. Formula One is by Mayfield...

I don't think I've ever encountered Crompton's Penny On Ice but I'm sure some of our members remember playing it. These early pushers are very rare because most have been replaced with modern versions and they don't tend to end up in people's living rooms. This is the only picture I have of it from...

I posted these pictures to the facebook "Fruit machines and electromechanical games" group, So figure I should also put them here as well: The first one is an 8-sided 4-player roulette game that would have been from the 1960s, as the picture here is from 1969. https://ptpimg.me/9em046.jpg ...
