Re: Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
I edited a photo, and I put some lines to show how the players stick should look.

Re: Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
Thanks for that BP, but they are way too heavy to be aluminium. I have had one of the men off of the table to see what they are made of. Would your idea work if the metal is steel?

Ice Hockey table players' sticks cut down?
I bought a Rock-Ola Ice Hockey table a while ago, and I've only just got round to having a good look at it. The players had a short piece of rubber hosepipe on the end of their sticks. 2020-09-25-047a.jpg After taking off the hose I found the players sticks had been very crudely cut down. 2020-09-25...

Re: Samson Slick missing part ?
Thanks Jerry.
I thought it would be something like that, it shouldn't be too hard to make something suitable.
I love the machine, and I'm really happy with it, thanks mate.

Samson Slick missing part ?
Ive recently bought a Samson Slick, and the guy I bought it from said there is a missing part that he took off years ago. He said he put the part somewhere really safe but could never find it again. Can any of you guys help me out by posting any pics of the Slick lower solenoid area, as I can't tell...

Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
I got the melons to trigger the jackpot feature. Just a bit of fiddling around and I got it all going properly now.

Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
I timed how long, the shortest amount of time was around three seconds, and the longest was around 1 min 27 seconds. I almost emptied the coin tube after two goes on the highest amount of time. I have learnt so much from buying and tinkering with this machine, and I only bought it as I wanted the ba...

Re: Mills or Sega Lucky Horseshoe???
I've cracked it, it lives again. After much messing and tinkering around it finally came to life when I poked a screw driver inside and triggered the bottom micro switch. It really started buzzing after triggering the switch. I jumped so much I almost fell off my chair. I had to bend the bracket so ...

Re: My first restoration project.
I still have the gallery surround, I may try using it as a template and try to make something that wont cover the writing, or maybe even trim a little off of the bottom of it. I will try a few things, and see what looks best. Thanks for you replies guys, every little helps.

Lucky Horseshoe, lights on but no bonus feature working.
Topic merged - Site Admin. I finally got the electrics for my Lucky Horseshoe sort of working, I think. The light comes on now in half of the jackpot window, like it should, and the bottom half is not lit, like it should be. It says on the top flash "when horseshoe is lit in jackpot glass maxi...

Re: My first restoration project.
Yes I did replace the backflash, it was hand painted. I got my daughter to touch it up on photoshop, so it still looks old. Im pretty pleased with the results.

Re: My first restoration project.
I will replace the payout handle surround, Im just waiting for the chrome screws to arrive. The small diamond trim were just stick on mirror tiles, they were also on the wood surrounding the playfield, I thought they made it look a bit tacky.
Im still not sure about the ball gallery surround.

My first restoration project.
So here is the first of many I hope, my restored Allwin machine. I'm almost finished, just waiting for the lock to come back from the locksmith, and some chrome plated screws. I have left the chromed metal off of the ball gallery for now, and I'm not sure I will put it back. Do you think it looks be...

Re: What can you tell me about this Jokerboul?
It says Courson on the plate, on the side of the machine. Is that not the maker then?
Any other info I can find says it is made by Courson.

What can you tell me about this Jokerboul?
As the title says, what can anyone tell me about this Jokerboul machine? I know it's French, 1936, made by Courson. I can't find much about the maker, except that he only made two machines.
How is it played? How many balls should it have? What is the approximate value?
Thanks guys.

Re: How long before it’s re listed
I was watching that machine, just to see what people would pay for a repro, that didnt work. I was amazed when it went to over a grand, then it went down to £720, then back up to over £1000. Why? Do people really pay that for something that bad?

Re: Star Warehouse, Camden Market
That black and white photo is really good, but it is of Jimmy's warehouse in the goods depot, which is now the stables market. Moonriver wrote "Jimmy leased a small square single room building with ladder up to an open attic above right next to the archway where everyone had to pass by to enter...

Re: Star Warehouse, Camden Market
BRODERICK AUTOMATICS, STAR WAREHOUSE, CANDEL GOODS DEPOT, CHALK FARM ROAD, LONDON NW 8AH. My dad told me that Jimmy Broderick had a warehouse in Camden goods depot before he moved into my Dad's old shop, and it was massive. The goods depot was where the old stables used to be, or very close to there...

Re: My thing with slots
I just spoke to my Dad and he told me that he thinks he left the shop sometime in 1976, and he doesn't know what happened to his old shop after he left. I asked him about Jimmy Broderick, and he laughed and said "I remember that old bugger". According to my Dad, Jimmy had a warehouse full ...

Re: My thing with slots
PM, what date would that have been, please? I think my Dad had left there by 1975-6.
I will ask my Dad tomorrow if he knew Jimmy, and his warehouse.
Thanks for that info.
