Re: Horse racing/Dog racing/Roulette coin operated machines.

I've had both Royal Ascot and a Caille/greyhound stadium. They crop up from time to time, I seem to think we had a Royal Ascot at one of our Coventry auctions, but I could be wrong as the day seems to blur somewhat.

You know, not everyone holds knighthood in that high esteem, apart from John Lennon, you might want to check out http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/12/21/uk.honors/ And, if you look at its history, it has more to do with power broking and payback rather than 50's hollywood accounts of king Arthur...

A sound and worthy cause me'thinks, and not wishing to take anything away from anyone, merely to add to the recognition deserved. I beg to comment that behind every great man there is always a surprised woman. Therefore I suggest a couple of Dames of the Empire awards as well. *If it weren't ...

Getting caught out

Even after all these years I'm still humbled by how a machine can outsmart me. My little Mills QT has always been a firm favourite in my collection and after selling a few of my machines at the Coventry auction I had a space downstairs (courtesy of the management committee), so the QT escaped from t...
