The New Forum
Personally, I'm not entirely convinced that the "Terrorists In The White House" forum makes a positive contribution to the site, and I wonder if anybody else had any opionion on it?

Re: New topic please
Can the administrator or moderator create a new topic for these bandit posts, as has already been suggest and move all these message to that topic. This is an interesting subject, but is nothing to do with Allwin Skill. It should have a topic to itself. (and then delete this message) Site Admin: Ye...

Re: Allwin Skill
But the situation is bit different in the UK. See wikipedia.org/wiki/Slot_machine ...in the UK, a fruit machine takes on an amount above its payout percentage before winning, so if a payout is 95%, a machine will make the player lose £10 before paying out £9.50. As such, it is sensible to watch for...

Re: Allwin Skill
I've just done a brief experiment using a Sega Diamond & Star mechanical bandit dating from the mid 1960s. On each occasion, I started with three "BAR" symbols on the payout line (there is only one BAR on each reel) and I pulled the handle in an identical way each time and then noted w...

Re: Allwin Skill
Because they could. It's the same as the Bryans device, just a sales gimmick. I don't believe there was a need for it. What he said. For the rhythm method to work, it would be necessary for each reel to turn by the exact same distance each and every time. If it could be stated that reel 1 turned fo...

Re: Allwin Skill
Not so. As I've said before, a game can be designed so that a skilful player can increase their odds. This is true of many modern fruit machines which reward strategic play . Can't say I agree with this statement contained on the website on the link you gave...... You have to give the slot game at ...

Re: Allwin Skill
I think Mr Bryan built his business and made his fortune from people who thought an Allwin was a game of skill.......I have also known people (and I'm sure this is going to ring a bell) who used to claim that pulling down the handle on a mechanical one-armed-bandit VERY VERY SLOWLY and then giving i...

Someone with an Olly Whales will be able to give you a definitive answer, but until they emerge from their stinking pit, I can tell you that the glass on a Ruffler and Walker allwin simply slides in and out from the top. If this is the case with yours - and I imagine it is - then you will be able to...

They aren't difficult to fault-trace if you have a multimeter. Could you not have a go yourself? I'm not familiar with this particular machine but many faults on EM machines are caused by burnt-out windings and can usually be cured by swapping coils around, and then rewinding the least important one...

OK, just a brief update........ I had a new coinbox lock fitted as the locksmith couldn't match the key. He charged me £10.87 including fitting. I decided I couldn't live with the Ronseal finish, so I stripped it off and rubbed down the cabinet very lightly, before applying two thin coats of clear v...
