Re: Vermaakspel

I go through this thoughts all the time, to renovate or to restore...difference being quite a lot of money and swearing for the restore. I like something that is aged and looks like its been used, and importantly can still be used without thinking you are going to damage or scratch something after m...

Wow, what a beauty with an escalator too. That's too pretty, makes the pocket vest look even more hideous than it already is.
Nice find, finished at £586.00

Re: My Finished Lord Sega

Hi All, Thanks for all the complimentary remarks. I take them as praise indeed from you long standing experts. I still have to get new locks because the person I bought it from didn't have the keys. I think to get a locksmith to work out what the keys are would be more expensive than new ones. One ...

Re: My Finished Lord Sega

Bloody marvelous ! that is so nice, anohter bargain at £145 !! You had more of a challenge than me, but buy jove jolly good. That slight pitting in the cash tray, probably if they polished anymore then your cash tray would have holes in it. Its a difficult call, to keep going or to stop with the thi...

Thanks BP.... I so enjoyed doing this one...im not going for perfection of a nut and bolt restore, but acceptable clean and sound working machine.

Re: My British Sega - With a bit of elbow grease.

Thanks for your kind words Slotalot. Its not a perfect machine, but its so much better than when i first got it. I think if you decide to use the word renovate rather than restore you have a jumping off point from your project cause the money soon starts to add up. So much more i could do with this ...

Re: To remove the damper on your Sega........

Firstly remove the mech from the case. Disconnect the linkage from the damper to the inside of the handle mechanism. You may now be able to get a socket or spanner down underneath the base plate that the mech sits on to unbolt the damper from the base of the cabinet. However if you have the same so...
