Personally, I doubt the thief concerned appreciated the machine in the slightest.
They probably only saw easy money.

It could.
They do tend to operate efficiently when in the same plane as the original.
If however that solves the problem, it tells you it's not heavy enough gauge as it shouldn't have bent in the first place.
Give it a try and tell us how it goes.

In that case, it'll never cycle as I already said. Without the round thing on top of the rear V section supported on top the vertical fingers won't retract enough so the discs and reels will be locked. It'll be the Dog & Anvil. Slacken the retaining bolt on the anvil and tap it closer to the dog. That will enable it to engage with the dog sooner and be tilted further back which in turn will push the vertical finger reset bar to its limit. Clearing the fingers from the discs, allowing the reels...
