Re: Ahrens Great Golf Game

Would like to play this game. What a strange bottom rail to the window frame. I realise that it follows the course contour but looks quite odd.

Re: Bryans Gapwin Project

However, back to Mr Bryan...... This Gapwin passed in front of my camera recently, notice that there are two holes punched out from the chrome backplate with identical instructions, (to obtain award turn knob) never seen this before on a Gapwin, there is also an extra plate around the hammer box, I...

Lovely looking trio Paul. Are you going to fit a thumb stop to the Gapwin payout knob or just leave as is?

Re: BMCo identification

Looks like the cups are trying to imitate the airplane cup design. Coin entry was in many cases just a rectangular plate. If it had shaped/curved ends, it usually had the entry slot raised from the plate. It would be interesting to see pics of the mech to see if it has been altered or is the origin...

R & W Fill 'Em Up

Topic merged - Site Admin.

I have had a couple of these ball retaining pegs milled up and wondered if anyone has had any experience of fixing these into the machine and, if so, could give me any useful tips and guidance regarding the installing of these little chaps.
Thanks in advance.

One vital thing to remember toonboy, be exceptionally careful with the front glass. Almost impossible to find a replacement should it break.

I could probably fit it in, but Sally would have to go, and it's her house.
I bet it would take another £700 to stock it up to play.

Perhaps the £1k is to give to the buyer to take it away!

Re: Allwin identification

Interesting that many old machines that once served their working life in arcades etc have, over the last couple of decades, been altered from their original condition perhaps to make them more attractive to potential buyers. Take the BMCo below, started out (probably) as an 'Air Plane' or 'Flyer' ...
